We would love you all to join us to celebrate the achievement and honour the journey, when the Flower District Town Team will be formally gifting the community asset to the Town of Cambridge.

The event will be held on Friday 1st May 4.30 - 7.30pm. We will be posting the event on socials for registration.

Help us bring our NEW PARKLET to life!

The Flower District West Leederville are creating a solar powered E-Flower parklet, complete with landscaping and seating to charge your phone or e-bike. A great safe place to connect on Northwood Street in West Leedy.

But we need your help. Join us as a volunteer and help build this amazing parklet for our community. The first volunteer shift for verge prep is this Saturday 7 February 1-4pm.

If you can help, please sign up by clicking the link below. We would love to see you.

An incredible afternoon of community sharing yesterday as The Flower District West Leederville were proud to present a free screening of Black Cockatoo Crisis, with the support of Town of Cambridge

We want to warmly thank special guest Rex - an endangered Black Cockatoo from Kaarakin Black Cockatoo Conservation Centre and Sam who spoke so passionately about the work they do and the plight of these precious birds.

Also to Paddy Cullen from Save the Black Cockatoos, Ian Kininmonth from Transition Town Vincent, and Dr Grey Coupland from Murdoch University and her knowledge of Miyawaki Forests, who stayed for a Q&A, talking about their vital work and future actions saving Black Cockatoos from extinction, through preserving habitat - and most importantly what we can do.

Thanks to Besk for letting us use their space, and to Rachel from Black Cockatoo Distillery for afternoon tastings.

Massive shout out to the Flower District Town Team volunteers for bringing the magic and people together to share these important stories and community connections.
