Alamein FC is Victoria’s only all-female football club fielding teams across every age group in the National Premier Leagues (NPL) Women’s pathway. We guide and support girls and women from all corners of Melbourne, from Junior Academy and VYPLG teams through to the Senior NPLW competition. Every football club has players, coaches and volunteers.

At Alamein, we love celebrating them. We celebrate the wins, support them through the challenges, and shine a light on the people who make our club what it is.

But behind every player, team and program is a community of people and businesses who choose to support the journey.

Congratulations Ella Kerrigan! Our newest senior debutant and one of our own, Ella made her senior debut this weekend against Keilor Park, and featured again during our Nike Cup fixture. Having played in our U13s in 2022, she has quickly risen through the ranks, taking the vice-captaincy in the U20s over the past two seasons, as well as representing Victoria at the National Championships in 2025.

A key member of our club, Ella also coaches our U12s team. Universally loved, she becomes the 3rd homegrown player to debut this season! Ella - congratulations!! We are incredibly proud of you, and can’t wait to see where you go from here!

This Female Football Week, we’re celebrating some of the women helping shape the next generation of girls in football.

These interviews are excerpts from ‘The Women Who Change the Game,’ a short film in which Alamein’s female coaches share what coaching means to them, and what they hope young players take away from being coached by women.

As girls’ football continues to grow, so does the need to support and develop more female coaches across the game. That’s why we’ve launched the Alamein Coach Education Fund.

From our Under 20s to Senior NPLW: after two years developing in Alamein’s U20s program, Setarah made her Senior debut a couple of weeks ago.

One of the things we’re proudest of as an all-female NPL club is seeing players progress through the pathway together, and seeing hard work rewarded at the next level.

It was fantastic to see all our Academy teams out on the pitch (finally!) at the season kick off last week, and every one of them did Alamein proud! Here are some snaps of our Under 14s in action. We’re excited to see what they can do this Sunday.
