Could you help bring back the night? 🌙

Are you someone who loves getting out and talking to people, gets excited about Relay and has a knack for getting others involved?

You might already have exactly what we’re looking for.

We’re looking for a "Team Recruitment" committee member to help get Wyndham excited, involved and ready to Relay in 2027.

This role is all about connecting with people across our community, welcoming teams back, encouraging new teams to get involved and sharing the excitement of what Wyndham Relay is building for 2027.

You don’t need previous committee experience. You just need to enjoy talking to people, believe in what Relay is about and be happy to help spread the word.

And you won’t be doing it alone. You’ll have a passionate committee beside you, support from Cancer Council, resources from previous Relays and a community behind you.

Do you know how to get people behind a good cause?

Maybe you love a good chat, have a knack for making connections, or seem to know someone who knows someone.

That could make you a great fit for Sponsorship as our Relationship Builder for Wyndham Relay For Life 2027.

This role is all about building connections with businesses and the community, helping people get behind Wyndham Relay and finding support that can help bring the event to life.

You don’t need previous committee experience. You’ll have a passionate committee beside you, support from Cancer Council, resources from previous Relays and a community behind you.

It takes community support to bring back the night and someone to make the connections.

The night is already taking shape.

We’ve got a great group of people already working behind the scenes to help bring Wyndham Relay For Life 2027 to life.

But there are still a few stars missing from the team.

We’re looking for people who might already have the interests, skills or experience that fit one of our remaining roles:
- Chair / Co-Chair
- Sponsorship
- Team Recruitment
- Ceremonies
- Catering

You don’t need previous committee experience, and you don’t need to have everything figured out before you start.

There’s already a team waiting for you, along with support from Cancer Council and resources from previous Wyndham Relays.

Over the next couple of weeks, we’ll be sharing more about each role and the kind of person who might be a great fit.

THE NIGHT NEEDS A TEAM ⭐️⭐️

Bringing overnight Relay back to Wyndham is exciting, but creating an incredible event will take a team of passionate people.

We’re now looking for committee members who want to help shape Wyndham Relay For Life 2027.

You don’t need previous committee experience.

**You may already have what it takes.**

Maybe you enjoy:
- bringing people together
- getting others excited and involved
- making connections in the community
- creating meaningful moments
- organising the practical stuff
- jumping in wherever needed

You don’t need to tick every box. Everyone brings something different, and that’s what makes a great team.

You’ll have a team beside you, with support from Cancer Council, resources from previous Wyndham Relay events and a community behind you.

Over the coming weeks, we’ll introduce the roles we’re looking to fill and the qualities you may already have that could make you a great fit.

Overnight Relay is coming back to Wyndham in 2027, and now it’s time to start shaping the event.

There are ideas to bring to life, plans to make and plenty of exciting things ahead as we build Wyndham Relay For Life 2027.

A great overnight Relay starts with a great team, with everyone bringing something different to help make the event something special.

Over the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing more about how you can be part of bringing Wyndham’s overnight Relay to life.

Take us back, Wyndham Overnighters...

We know there are plenty of memories that come with an overnight Relay. There really was something special about Relay after dark.

Laps under the stars. Midnight chats. Late-night laughs and shenanigans. Cheering each other on, lap after lap. And finally, watching the sun come up over the track, often with hot air balloons drifting over the city in the distance.

With overnight Relay coming back to Wyndham in 2027, we want to hear your memories.

BRING BACK THE NIGHT!!

It’s official — Wyndham Relay For Life is returning as an overnight event in 2027!

For many Wyndham Relayers, the overnight event was a big part of what made Relay so memorable - watching the sun go down, walking through the night, team campsites around the track, late-night laps, early mornings and seeing the sun come up together.

The overnight also represents an important part of Relay’s message:

"Cancer never sleeps and neither will we".

We’re now working behind the scenes to create an overnight Relay experience for Wyndham, while continuing to celebrate Survivors and Carers, remember loved ones and raise funds for the fight against cancer.

There is plenty more to come, and we can’t wait to share it with you.
