We’re pleased to welcome Big Wheels Truck Alignment as a new Business Member of the Committee for Wyndham.
With more than 20 years of experience and locations across Australia, Big Wheels Truck Alignment provides specialist services for heavy vehicles and commercial fleets, including wheel alignments, suspension and steering repairs, brake servicing, mechanical repairs, tyre fitment and balancing, GVM upgrades and more.

Their purpose-built Laverton facility features a 28-metre drive-through trailer alignment pit, specialised alignment pits and highly skilled technicians equipped to service everything from light commercial vans and prime movers to road trains, caravans and cranes.

As we prepare to launch our 2026 Impact Report, we'd like to extend our sincere thanks to David Mullins for generously allowing Committee for Wyndham to feature one of his photographs on the front cover.

The image we have selected captures a piece of Wyndham's identity and reflects the people, places and stories that make our region unique. We are proud to showcase David's work as part of a publication that highlights the conversations, connections and advocacy helping shape Wyndham's future.

Many people will know David through Faces of Wyndham, an independent community portrait and storytelling project that celebrates the people who make Wyndham what it is. Through powerful photography and personal stories, David has documented the diversity, resilience, culture and contributions of individuals from across our community.

What makes Faces of Wyndham even more remarkable is that it is entirely self-funded and led by David. It is not a commissioned project or council initiative. It is a significant personal and financial commitment driven by a genuine passion for preserving and sharing the stories of our region.

We’re pleased to welcome the Asian Business Association of Wyndham (ABAWyn) as a new Charity Member of the Committee for Wyndham.

Established in 2018, ABAWyn is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting the Asian community and businesses across the City of Wyndham. With a growing membership of more than 1,800 individuals, including students, families, business owners and industry professionals, the association has become an important part of Wyndham’s diverse and thriving community.

Led by a committee of volunteer business leaders and professionals, ABAWyn creates opportunities for members to connect, collaborate and grow through networking events, business forums, mentorship programs and educational initiatives. The organisation also works closely with local, state and federal governments to advocate for the needs of the community while fostering meaningful partnerships across Wyndham.

Beyond business, ABAWyn is committed to celebrating cultural diversity and strengthening community connections through initiatives such as the Moon Festival, Australia Day celebrations, Dragon Boat Festival activities and community sports events. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the association also played a significant role in supporting vulnerable residents through the donation and distribution of face masks.

Driven by a vision of an inclusive, connected and prosperous Wyndham, ABAWyn continues to empower individuals and businesses while championing innovation, leadership, sustainability and cross-cultural collaboration.

On Saturday, Committee for Wyndham members enjoyed an exclusive behind-the-scenes experience with the Werribee Football Club, gaining a unique insight into one of Wyndham's most successful sporting organisations.

The morning began with Majok Ngong, Community Engagement Manager, who shared the incredible work the Club is delivering across our community. From schools programs and grant initiatives to supporting local community groups, members heard how the Club is creating positive outcomes far beyond football.

Members were then taken behind the scenes by Football Manager Kyle Hartigan, who provided a fascinating look into the inner workings of the football department. It was a rare opportunity to see the professionalism, preparation and teamwork that underpin a successful VFL program.

The experience concluded with members cheering on the mighty Werribee Tigers as they defeated the Western Bulldogs to claim the HealthWest Cup, securing their place in the top four and heading into the finals series with plenty of momentum.

A big thank you to the entire Werribee Football Club team for providing such a memorable experience.

These experiences are about much more than exclusive access. They provide opportunities for our members to better understand the organisations helping shape Wyndham, build meaningful relationships and contribute to the conversations that strengthen our advocacy.

The more we understand the opportunities, challenges and successes across our community, the stronger our collective voice becomes when advocating on behalf of Wyndham's business community.

Connection is one of our core values at Committee for Wyndham. But connection isn't measured by how many business cards are exchanged or how many people attend an event. It's measured by what happens afterwards. When members choose to work together, recommend one another, celebrate each other's successes and support the organisations that strengthen Wyndham, that's where the real value of membership is created.

It's a reminder that the value of membership isn't found in a single event—it's found in the relationships, trust and partnerships that continue long after the event has finished.

Last Saturday evening was a wonderful example of that in action, as a number of our members came together to support fellow member Sanctuary Lakes Golf Club at its Annual Gala.

It was fantastic to see Committee members not only attending the event, but investing in its success. Sponsors Kenstra and Outwest Concrete helped make the evening possible, while event styling sponsor Carter & Ko transformed the room into a beautiful space for guests to enjoy. Together with styling support from All Green Nursery, the venue looked exceptional! Kat and David from McCarthy Plumbing Group also joined our Board Chair Craig, CEO Leanne Down and Lizzy Jacobs Photography in celebrating what was a memorable evening for the Club and its members.

Thank you to Josh and the entire Sanctuary Lakes Golf Club team for inviting us to be part of such a special evening. It was wonderful to see members, sponsors and supporters come together to celebrate an organisation that continues to play an important role in Wyndham's business, recreation and community life.

This is what Committee for Wyndham is all about. Building relationships that extend beyond our own events and creating a community where businesses actively support one another, contribute to Wyndham's future and help each other succeed.
