Here at Mad Hatter Marketplace / Time Warp Collective, we are working towards creating a very special little piece of Mackay's history.

Our dream is to dedicate an area within our beautiful old railway building to celebrating and preserving Mackay's railway heritage for future generations.
And this is where YOU come in!

🚂 Old photographs of the railway station and surrounding area
🚂 Railway memorabilia, signs, tickets, uniforms and equipment
🚂 Old newspaper clippings, documents and historical information
🚂 Stories and memories from former railway employees
🚂 Personal stories from passengers and local families
🚂 Information about the building and its history over the years
🚂 Anyone with railway knowledge who would love to be involved!
NO STORY IS TOO SMALL, AND NO MEMORY IS TOO OLD!
Maybe your grandfather worked on the railway, your parents met at the station, or you simply remember what Mackay was like when the trains were running.
We would LOVE to hear it!

I'm Mackay born and bred, and I believe these beautiful old buildings and the stories behind them deserve to be remembered, celebrated and shared.
We want to create somewhere locals can reminisce, children can learn, and visitors can discover another fascinating part of Mackay's past.
