We are pleased to announce that the club rooms' blinds have been successfully installed, significantly enhancing the space by allowing for overflow into the porch area while providing protection from the elements. This was made possible by a grant from Victorian Fisheries and thanks to our hard working Committee members who do so much for our Club.

We had some blustery weather Friday and Saturday for the fishing competition but Sunday and Monday improved. Despite the fact that the tides were not in our favour for boat fishing there were some good size fish weighed in and quite a variety.
Shane Cummings won 1st prize of a $100 voucher from Inverloch Fishing and Outdoors with a Bream weighing in at 1.40 kg. Shane released the fish back into the inlet to live another day! Well done Shane.
Rohan Oakes won 2nd prize of a $50 voucher from the Riverview Hotel for his catch which was a Trevally 2.12 kg.
Both caught a variety of other fish including a Gurnard.
Congratulations to our winners and a big thank you to our sponsors.

We had quite a gathering on Saturday night for the Club BBQ. It's great to see our members come out on a chilly winter night. Deb Williams & Matty Sayers number was drawn for the members prize but weren't there so the prize jackpots to $40.00 next month. Everyone was very impressed with the freshly painted club rooms, thanks again to the fellas for doing such a great job.

Dear Community,

Here is the latest update on getting Newhaven Jetty restored and reopened :

Information from Chris Padovani, Senior Manager Boating,Better Boating Victoria, Victorian Fisheries Authority.

The tender for the restoration of Newhaven Pier was released on the Buying for Victoria public tender platform at 12pm yesterday.

The tender will close on 29 July. It is Better Boating Victoria’s intention to undertake assessment of the tenders received shortly thereafter (tender evaluation panel has 4 BBV representatives and a PV representative), and to enter into a contract with the preferred supplier in August.

The successful contractor will need to obtainin marine and coastal act consent from the Environment Department , whilst Parks Victoria have committed to issuing an on-water works permit ,which is greatly appreciated.

Once the preferred supplier is locked in, BBV said a construction timeline will be finalised.

We all have our fingers crossed for a smooth and timely renovation and that we will all be celebrating an opening before Christmas. 🤞🤞🤞
