What a fantastic evening at the Inverloch CFA Annual Dinner!

It was a privilege to recognise the incredible dedication of our members, whose years of service, training and commitment help keep our community safe.

🌟 Tonight is the night!
🕑 Clocks will move forward one hour at 2 am to kick off daylight saving time.
We know most devices automatically adjust but some clocks, like those in your kitchen appliances, wall clocks, or car, may need to be manually changed.
While you're at it, be sure to check your smoke alarm batteries. To do this, press and hold the test button until the smoke alarm beeps three times.
If your alarm doesn’t beep three times, it needs new batteries or replacement.

Always training, always ready!

Inverloch CFA volunteers are embracing the future of firefighter training through Virtual Firefighter, an advanced virtual reality program designed specifically for operational firefighters.

The technology provides realistic training experiences across a range of firefighting scenarios, allowing members to use real-life equipment while practising critical response skills.

It is another example of how Inverloch CFA continues to prepare our volunteers to respond safely, effectively, and professionally when emergencies occur.

Tomorrow one of our long time members Hayden will be taking part in his 9th Melbourne Firefighter Stairclimb. He will be climbing 28 floors in 25kgs of firefighting gear. The stairclimb raises money to help fight cancer, depression and su***de. The goal for the Melbourne Firefighter Stair Climb this year is to raise $1,000,000 and we are so close! Despite recent local rainfall, much of Victoria is facing a forecast for a considerably warmer and drier spring than average. This combination is expected to accelerate fuel drying, leading to an earlier start to the fire season.
