It's Pride Month! ❀️ 🩷 🧑 πŸ’› πŸ’š πŸ’™ πŸ’œ πŸ–€

This month, we celebrate and honour all our deadly LGBTIQ+ mob!

For thousands of years, our cultures have recognised the importance of identity, kinship, connection and belonging. Pride Month provides an opportunity to acknowledge the strength and resilience of our q***r mob. With courage, heart and acceptance, they demonstrate the power of leading with inclusivity and respect.

We also recognise that many LGBTIQ+ First Nations people encounter unique challenges, adding further layers to the impact of racism, exclusion and discrimination. As a proud people, we must ensure each member of our communities feels strong in their identity as well as culture.

If you or someone you know needs support, culturally safe services are available:

This World No To***co Day, we’re unmasking the appeal of to***co.

Daily smoking among our people has dropped from 37% to 29% since 2018–19 a strong sign of community‑led change.

Every step toward a smoke‑free life helps keep families healthy, culture strong and futures bright.

Keeping mob strong and smoke‑free.

Thank you to all our stakeholders, partners and allies who showed up and stood with us at the Kalwun Reconciliation Stakeholders Breakfast at the Glades Golf Club, Robina.

Your presence matters and so does the collective commitment to keep walking together beyond a single moment or week. Reconciliation is built through relationships, shared responsibility and ongoing action that is courageous, accountable and leads to lasting change.

At Kalwun, we believe reconciliation is not about lowering expectations for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, it is about raising the standard of our nation.

We are grateful to work alongside so many people who continue to show up, listen, learn and act with purpose.
