In memory of Dwayne Lally LIVIN is all about living your life at the top and breaking the stigma around mental health. Through the development of an educational program, unique apparel and community awareness initiatives, LIVIN is driving a generational change towards the understanding of mental health. At LIVIN we provide introductory mental health education and support to help people get through everything from everyday issues to tough times. Of note, we don’t offer counselling services. Men Matter Raceday is back, and we’re proud to be part of it again.

It’s way more than a day at the races. Too many blokes put off the health check. Too many carry stuff in silence because they think speaking up makes them weak. It doesn’t. It ain’t weak to speak.

On Saturday 24 October, the Gold Coast Turf Club is bringing everyone together, men and women, to back men’s health and raise funds for the organisations supporting it.

As Chairman Brett Cook puts it: “If we can encourage just one person to seek help, have a health check or start a conversation, then we’re making an impact.”
So grab your mates, bring the men in your life, and come be part of a day that means something. And while you’re there, check in on each other.

After the heartbreaking events in our community, a lot of people are hurting right now.

If that’s you, or someone you love, you’re not on your own.

Swipe through for a few simple things that can help: how to check in, how to ask someone directly about su***de, and where to get support for yourself, your mates or your kids.

You don’t need perfect words. “Hey, how are you really going?” is a good place to start. Then listen.
