Today marks the beginning of NAIDOC Week.
This year, we celebrate 50 Years of Deadly – honouring five decades of strength, culture, leadership and advocacy led by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. It is a celebration of the Elders, communities, artists, organisers and changemakers who have kept culture strong and continued to pave the way for future generations.
At Stride, we acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which we live and work, and pay our deepest respects to Elders past and present. We stand in solidarity with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, recognising that reconciliation is an ongoing journey built on truth-telling, listening, respect and meaningful action.
Throughout NAIDOC Week, we celebrate the resilience, wisdom and rich cultures of First Nations peoples and reaffirm our commitment to walking alongside communities to help create a more equitable future for all.
This year's artwork, titled Paralpi by Zaachariaha Fielding, reflects the enduring connection between Country, culture and community, reminding us of the importance of passing knowledge from one generation to the next.
