Meals on Wheels Central Coast has catered to the local community since 1967.

Meals on Wheels Central Coast is a registered NDIS provider and has served the Community since 1967, offering meal deliveries, community restaurants, and social support. As a not-for-profit community organisation, we are dedicated to providing affordable, quality meals to local seniors over 65 years, as well as younger people with a disability and their carers.

Celebrating culture, connection and our local carers 💙

Last week, we attended Multicultural Day as part of National Carers Week. It was a lovely opportunity to meet local carers, enjoy the cultural performances, and share how Meals on Wheels Central Coast can support them and their loved ones.

Thank you to Mosaic Multicultural Connections for bringing local carers together for this special day and recognising the important role they play in our community.

We also extend our deepest thanks to the Australian Chinese Charity Foundation Inc. 澳洲華人公益金 for its generous support, helping us connect with our community through events like this.

Next week, we’ll be at the Multicultural Expo 2026! Come along to celebrate our wonderful multicultural community on the Central Coast, and stop by our table to say hello and learn more about we can support you.

Some people just make everyone’s day better, and Kerry is one of them. 💛

Yesterday, Kerry attended the Central Coast Volunteer of the Year Awards as a proud nominee for her work with our Tuggerah team.

As a volunteer Administration Assistant, Kerry is often the first friendly voice our clients hear when they call to place their meal orders. She’s patient, welcoming and always happy to help, and she loves a warm, reassuring chat. She also helps our volunteer drivers get their delivery orders sorted before they head out. It’s no surprise everyone loves her!

Being nominated is a wonderful recognition of the kindness Kerry shows every day. Thank you, Kerry, for showing what “more than just a meal” really means.

We’d also like to congratulate Paula, who volunteers with us and was nominated for her incredible work with Frockin in the Outback. Your generosity shines wherever you go, Paula!

It’s always nice to put a face to the name, so meet our Client Services Team 😊

Jade leads the team as our Client Services Manager. Shantara and Kayla are our Client Engagement Coordinators, and they welcome our new clients and help get their accounts set up.

Elaine, Lyn and Cathy look after our Charmhaven, Tuggerah and West Gosford outlets. From taking your meal orders over the phone to organising our volunteers’ delivery runs, they make sure your meals arrive with a friendly face at the door.

Together, this caring team goes above and beyond for our clients every single day, and we’re so lucky to have them.

Congratulations to Michael, our Volunteer of the Month! 💙

Michael delivers meals from our Tuggerah outlet and has come to know his regular clients well. Recently, that familiarity made a real difference when he noticed one of his clients wasn’t quite themselves and quickly called for medical help.

His care and quick thinking are a reminder of how much a friendly check-in can mean. Every delivery is an opportunity to see how someone is going, share a conversation and make sure they’re okay.

Thank you, Michael, for looking out for our clients and showing what “more than just a meal” means in everyday life.

Our Tuggerah team is celebrating two of our wonderful meal delivery volunteers this week, and a very special one at that. John turned 80!
