🔥 CLOSING TONIGHT: MAKE BIG POLLUTERS PAY 🌏

Last chance to sign the petition, closing tonight.

We support big coal, oil and gas corporations paying their fair share for the costs of climate change. Local councils and residents shouldn’t be left holding the bill while corporations pocket the profits.

We call on Surf Coast Shire to pass a Polluter Pays motion to support a Climate Compensation Fund, which would help protect local services, strengthen and repair infrastructure, and fund disaster response and preparedness – ensuring our community can stay safe and thrive.

⚠️ Our community is already experiencing the impacts of climate pollution – from floods and bushfires to heatwaves and coastal erosion. Local councils are on the frontline, responsible for roads, drainage, community facilities and emergency response – but right now the costs of disasters are rising faster than council revenue.

📝 This petition will be delivered to Surf Coast Shire who will be encouraged to table it as part of a successful Polluter Pays motion.

🌱 Our Environmental Film Series is on again this Friday!

Surf Coast Environment Group and Surfcoast Wildlife Rescue Team Up for Night of Film and Animal Advocacy.

🙌 We are proudly supporting and raising awareness of Surfcoast Wildlife Rescue
📍Location: TIA Torquay Improvement Association Hall. Price St, Torquay, Victoria, 3228.

🤩 Plus, we have a special pre-event before the film screening, with a native wildlife meet-and-greet with Xavier Morello from WildlifeXposure!
