And that’s a wrap, Surfcoasters!
Thank you to each and every one of you. This year, we’ve touched the lives of 48 families—that’s 82 kids across our region who will wake up to an extraordinary, magical Christmas, all thanks to your incredible generosity.
Your efforts have been monumental, and both Liza and I have been completely overwhelmed by the continued support we’ve received from this beautiful community.
Nine years ago, this little idea of mine was just a whimsical dream—a hope to bring pure joy to kids on the Surf Coast experiencing hardship. We started with 10 kids, and look where we are today!
This year, while incredible, has been one of the hardest we’ve faced. We’ve encountered some of the most heartbreaking stories we’ve ever heard, which only fuels our passion and determination to keep doing this work.
But this year is extra special, and I want to take a moment to shine a light on someone who truly deserves it: my dear soul sister, Liza.🧚♀️
Liza🧚♀️ has been the powerhouse behind the success of Adopt a Surfcoaster over the past two years. I’ll be honest—this simply wouldn’t have been possible without her. What many of you don’t realize is that, even while facing her own battles—with family and health—Liza has continued to give her all, every single day. She is a fighter, and we are all so lucky to still have her here with us. The world is better because of her, and this community is stronger because of her unwavering love and dedication.
So, to you, Liza:🧚♀️
I am beyond blessed that you came into our lives. Your strength, determination, and kindness are the heartbeat of this community. You are my sister in spirit, my earth angel, and a true inspiration. Thank you for everything you do and for being the incredible person that you are.
To all our supporters: Much love, peace, and respect to you all. Let’s rest, recharge, and do it all again in 2025!
With gratitude,
Gail🧚♂️
