Happy Mother’s Day ❤️

Today, we honour and thank all mothers and mother figures. Our serving mums, the mums who have raised those who serve, the partners who hold families together during service, and the women whose love, strength and support help shape our lives.

Your care, sacrifice, resilience and unconditional love never go unnoticed. Thank you for everything you do, today and every day.

A few moments captured from our ANZAC Day 2026 Dawn Service at Point Danger. A morning of reflection, respect, and community coming together to honour those who have served and sacrificed.

From the quiet stillness before sunrise to the moving tributes, wreath-laying, songs and shared stories, it was a powerful reminder of the spirit of ANZAC that continues to live on in our community.

Thank you to everyone who attended, participated, and supported the day. Please tag yourself, your friends, groups, and anyone you recognise, and share these photos with friends and family.

Invitation to Veterans

ANZAC Day March

To all local veterans, from every service and every era:

This ANZAC Day we invite you to join the veterans’ march at Point Danger.

We know that for some, marching isn’t your choice this year, and that’s completely understood and respected.

For those who do feel able, your presence sends a strong message that veterans remain an active, visible part of our community and that the legacy of service continues. 🇦🇺

Whether you wore a uniform recently or many years ago, you’ll be marching alongside mates who understand. If you’re unsure, you’re welcome to come down, have a look, and decide on the day. There’s no pressure, only respect.

Form‑up location: The Esplanade, between the two roundabouts at Point Danger
Form‑up time: 0530
Step‑off: 0550

If you have family or friends who are veterans and are not connected to this group, please feel free to pass this invitation on.

Wow what generosity.

We’d like to sincerely thank Torquay Taphouse for their support this ANZAC Day.

Donating $1 from every beer sold to the Torquay RSL is a fantastic contribution and a meaningful way to honour our servicemen and women.

With heartfelt gratitude we say thank you 🙏🏼

Join us Saturday for ANZAC Day! We’ll have the match live & loud, plus we’re backing a great cause—
👉 $1 from every beer sold will be donated to the Torquay RSL.

Round up your crew, soak up the sunshine, and raise a glass for our servicemen and women 🍻

This ANZAC Day please bring your little ones 🙏

A letter from a Veteran - bring your kids to ANZAC Day!

“ It’s recently come to my attention that some parents although they would like to attend a dawn service, wont because of the likelihood that their little ones may make noise or fidget during the minutes silence and cause embarrassment or offend someone.

Let me tell you as a returned service veteran of 2 tours of Afghanistan, that when I close my eyes during that minutes silence it’s the cries of the little ones in the crowd that make it so special to me. It’s the reason why myself and so many of my fellow veterans & ultimately our fallen heroes gave their time, service & lives for. Their families. Their countrymen.

To not hear the babies/children’s voices and cries and the tutts from their mothers and fathers during this special occasion would not be, and never has been an offence to myself or anyone I know.

How will we Remember Them if the little ones aren’t there to carry the memory?

So, this ANZAC Day please bring your little ones.

Bring them so that they may see the men & woman with their fathers, mothers, uncles, aunties, brothers, sisters and even their own medals worn proudly on their chests. So that they hear the stories told of long ago battles & heroic deeds. So that they will remember and carry on their stories to their own children’s children.”

~ David Wilson, Veteran.

We will be bringing our two young children to the ANZAC Day commemorations… and we encourage you to bring your children also.

Let’s continue to educate our children about the importance of ANZAC Day by allowing them to be apart of the commemoration, because if they aren’t apart of the traditions, how will they understand the significance?
