Torquay RSL Sub-Branch

Torquay RSL Sub-Branch The Torquay RSL Sub-Branch provides important welfare services to veterans. New members welcome. We are Veterans serving fellow Veterans. We welcome new Members!

The Torquay RSL Sub-Branch was formed in 2002, after the original ex-servicemens' organisation was formed in 1947 as the ‘Torquay and District Ex-Servicemens’ Club,’ known in the area as 'The Heroes'. The Torquay RSL Sub-Branch is a not for profit run by a small Committee of volunteers, majority being Veterans themselves. The Torquay RSL Sub-Branch is a co-tenant of the Torquay Bowls Club with one

of the most spectacular views on the coast. Membership is building and presently stands at 220 (April 2021) and continues to slowly grow as more people move to the Surf Coast. The Sub-Branch is proud of the fact that we are able to stage one of the biggest Anzac Day Dawn Services in Australia with close on 20,000 attendees turning out for the service in 2015. The success of the Dawn Service is a credit to the spirit and generosity of the community and businesses of Torquay and district. However, the main focus of the Torquay RSL is for the welfare and wellbeing of its Veterans and their dependants. If you would like to join the Torquay RSL Sub-Branch please contact us via [email protected] today. We are also seeking volunteers to help us so please reach out if you would like to offer a hand.
