We're a Not-For-Profit delivering fully funded trauma-informed programs to youth, adolescents and adults.

Our programs have been iteratively developed over the past six years and work on self-awareness, intergenerational behaviours and HEALTHY responses.

For three years, Rise & Thrive Co. has been showing up for young people across the Sunshine Coast, giving them a voice and support before challenges reach crisis point. Now we're ready for the next chapter.

Generation Connect 💛

Three workshops.
Two generations.
One room full of connection.

A huge thank you to Noosa Seniors and the students of Sunshine Beach SHS for being part of our Generation Connect workshop series.

Together we built cup towers (and a few belly laughs), created collages of what matters most, and shared stories across the generations.

Silos came down, understanding grew, and strangers became community.

When we create safety, we grow.
When we grow, we share.
When we share, we strengthen community.
When generations rise together, communities thrive.

"Why don't they just ask for help?"

Because most support is built around young people coming to into a building: booking the appointment, walking in, finding the words.

For a young person who's been hurt or let down, that's a lot to ask.

So we stopped waiting for them to come through the door. We're taking the door to them. 🧡

CHECKPOINT, our mobile youth outreach hub, is coming to the Sunshine Coast.

Early intervention doesn't have to be complicated.

Sometimes it's just noticing a young person has gone quiet. Asking "what's going on?" instead of "what's wrong with you?" Giving them somewhere they actually want to be, and getting them the right support before things get worse.

BEHAVIOUR TELLS A STORY.
When a young person is struggling at school, what we see on the outside can be only part of what's happening underneath.

71,805 disciplinary absences.
But this isn't a post about blaming schools or blaming young people.
Schools do an enormous job every day supporting learning, behaviour, safety, and wellbeing, often while responding to incredibly complex circumstances in young people's lives.

These numbers remind us why schools need strong community partners around them.

When a young person repeatedly disengages, struggles with behaviour, or reaches the point of suspension or exclusion, much more may be happening beneath what we see.

At Rise & Thrive, we believe behaviour tells a story.
That's why our work is about coming alongside schools — by adding another layer of connection, early intervention and trauma-informed support.

Teachers know their students.
Schools know their communities.
And organisations like ours can help create another pathway for a young person who may need something different to reconnect.

No blame.
No finger-pointing.
Just more people around the table asking: what does this young person need next? 🧡
Because supporting young people isn't one person's job.
It takes all of us.

Mental Health Month is a timely reminder to look a little closer at the young people around us.

The quiet ones.
The ones walking the streets at night.
The ones labelled “trouble” when really, they’re struggling.

Behaviour tells a story.
Too often, young people are handed a form and a waitlist when what they need is someone who shows up.

That’s why we’re building CHECKPOINT, a mobile youth outreach hub that takes support to where young people already are.

It’s a safe, welcoming space with no judgement and no pressure, where connection comes before conversation.

Because early intervention changes trajectories, and no young person should have to walk it alone.

At Rise & Thrive Co., we believe support should go to young people — not wait for them to reach crisis point.

That’s why we’re working to launch CHECKPOINT — Australia’s first youth mental health outreach hub on wheels, taking connection, early intervention and support directly into schools, sporting clubs and communities.

And our incredible ambassador Jay is going ALL IN to help us get it on the road.
