Selby Fire Brigade (CFA) Selby Fire Brigade was formed in 1926. In the early days the fire station was a shed with beaters, rakes and buckets.

Now we have two fire fighting Tankers and a Slip-on. Selby is located in the Dandenong Ranges, within the Shire of Yarra Ranges.

Did you know Clematis Fire Brigade is one of 15 brigades that make up the CFA Dandenong Ranges Group?

CFA Groups bring neighbouring brigades together to provide mutual aid, shared resources, training, planning and operational support.

It means that while every brigade protects its own community with the aid of neighbouring brigades when a larger incident occurs, we don’t face it alone.

From Upwey to Macclesfield, Kalorama to Narre Warren East — our 15 brigades work together across the Dandenong Ranges to protect our communities.

Last night we had the pleasure of receiving a very unexpected donation of $10,000 from Andrew and the team at Community Bank Dandenong Ranges.

This incredibly generous donation will go along way in helping our brigade fund some projects that we wouldn’t normally have the funds to do, and ensure we continue to have the latest equipment to continue serving our community.

The support we have received along with many other community organisations from the Bendigo Bank over such a long period of time is very much appreciated, and we value their support in helping to strengthen our brigade and community.

Today’s training was all about skills maintenance. This was a great opportunity for our firefighters to brush up on their Breathing Apparatus skills (BA).
It was also a great way to introduce BA to our newer members and give them all a go and an opportunity to try wearing BA for their first time.
Climbing through the playground is always a good way to exert some extra effort.

Just a heads up folks, we will be testing the siren at the station tomorrow, Sunday the 26th of July. 🚨🚒🚨🚒🚨

This afternoon two of our members attended this fire, sent as a part of a wider group of fire fighters from the Dandenong ranges asked to assist with the complex event.

The Selby members assisted with extinguishing hot spots and air quality monitoring.
