Mums Supporting Families In Need was created by founder Jodie Harris who had a big heart and a simple idea that as a community we CAN, and SHOULD, work together to ensure no family is living without their basic daily needs being met. From humble beginnings in her living room, Jodie created the charity to rehome, reuse and recycle much needed material aid to struggling families across her local com

munity. MSFIN provides quality second hand nursery furniture items, clothing, linen, toiletries and more for families needing support. This support is delivered as an anonymous service via support agencies to preserve the privacy and dignity of vulnerable families. Since inception, MSFIN has grown to become a registered and fully tax deductible not-for-profit charity that supports over 60 agencies and has provided almost $1 million worth of food and material aid to disadvantaged families throughout Victoria...an amazing feat in itself. MSFIN is always seeking new volunteers to help in the warehouse or become one of our designated Drop Off Points for donated goods, as well as partnerships and sponsorship opportunities with community-minded businesses and organisations. 🚨 TOP-UP TUESDAY! 🚨

Our shelves are running seriously low on Size 5 & 6 nappies, and families in our community can’t wait for the next donation drive.

If you’re heading to the supermarket today, could you add just one extra pack of nappies to your trolley? 💜

One small addition to your weekly shop can make a huge difference to a local family doing it tough.

Some of the most important items leaving our warehouse are also some of the most expensive items for families with young children. 💜

Prams, car seats and other baby essentials can be a significant expense for families already experiencing financial hardship or crisis.

Thanks to our incredible community, MSFIN can help provide families with practical essentials that make everyday life a little safer and easier.

If your pram and car seat are in excellent condition, please consider giving them a new home by donating to MSFIN: 2/7 Sir Laurence Drive, Seaford, 10am - 3pm weekdays except Wednesdays.

IT'S TOP-UP TUESDAY!

Our shelves are completely out of toothpaste and soap, and we need your help to top them back up!

These everyday basics might seem small, but for families experiencing crisis, having access to toiletries can make a huge difference to their comfort, confidence and dignity. 💜

This week, we’re especially looking for:
Adult & kids’ toothpaste
Bars of soap
Body wash

Every tube, bar and bottle helps us keep essential toiletries going out in family orders.

Today we’re celebrating Charlotte and the significant mark she has left on Mums Supporting Families in Need. 💛

As our Strategy and Fundraising Manager, Charlotte has brought together something pretty special: big-picture thinking with an extraordinary willingness to roll up her sleeves and get the job done.

She has forged new partnerships with community, businesses, trusts and foundations; strengthened the way we communicate our story and built the MSFIN brand; brought people together through community events; and worked closely with our charity partners to better understand what families are facing and how we can respond.

When our warehouse flooded, Charlotte was right there leading the team through it. She helped bring power stations into the warehouse to strengthen our logistics operations.
Behind all of this was a bigger question Charlotte kept asking: How can we do this better, build stronger partnerships and increase our capacity so more families can receive the material aid and support they need during times of crisis?

That thinking, energy and care has had a significant impact on MSFIN and on the community we serve.

Charlotte, thank you for everything you have poured into MSFIN, our team, our partners and our community. We are incredibly grateful for the legacy you leave behind and will be cheering you on as you step into your next role. 💛💜

The incredible team at waverleypatchworkers have done it again, generously donating another beautiful collection of handmade quilts to help keep local families warm.

Each quilt is stitched with care, crafted with love, and provides so much more than warmth. It offers comfort, security and a reminder that someone in our community truly cares.

These quilts are always one of our most needed and most treasured items, and we are so grateful that Waverley Patchworkers continue to wrap local families in kindness, one stitch at a time.

Thank you for your ongoing generosity, your remarkable craftsmanship, and for helping us ensure no family has to face difficult times without a little extra warmth. 💜
