• Providing free groceries, hot meals and basic essential items to the disadvantaged, or individuals and families who are having difficulty due to their circumstances
• Provide free clothing to the homeless, identified disadvantaged families and individuals
• Free mentoring and coaching to upskill disadvantaged adults and youth in basic retail skills in a retail setting

The upside of being up so early on a chilly foggy morning like today means we get to experience beautiful sunrises, check out how the water is moving and count the mermaids in the water each day.

We get to experience the natural beauty Frankston exhibits each morning on our way back from early morning food pick ups. I don’t know about you but this all leaves me feeling grounded for the day! Happy Thursday 😀

We have plenty available today. However, please get in early as we are expecting a delivery (we never know what time) and once it arrives we close the shop for the day as it’s an OHS risk whilst we sort it all. We thank you for your patience, kindness and understanding!

After our break for the long weekend we are OPEN today 9.30am - 3.00pm.

The residents at Oaktree Retirement Village were extremely happy with their special delivery today of bread, sweets and savouries.

A huge thank you to Alan and Vivienne for picking it up from us this afternoon and delivering it to the village. It takes a village and we are certainly thankful for ours. 🙂

Our food pickups don’t stop even when we take a ‘break’ from opening. Food relief is a 7 day a week project. So happy knowing our work continues even when our shop front is closed.

It’s the long weekend and we are CLOSED.

Why not take the time to go outdoors someplace peaceful? Close your eyes and feel the breeze on your skin. I always find this a rejuvenating practice helps set me up with a positive outlook for the day ahead.

This arrived in our mail box today along with a note.

“This made me think. My mum goes without meals so that I can eat. I know she comes to visit your shop. Thank you for the food you give her to help feed me. I am thankful for your kindness.”

I cried. I cried knowing people are still going hungry. I am so sad knowing the tragic state of our economy is crippling people financially. Food security is a daily issue.

Today the number of people attending our service ballooned out way past anything we’ve ever done before.

An elderly gentleman who attends our service likened our current state of food insecurity to the Great Depression of the 1930’s. Almost 100 years on we are heading in a similar direction.
