A Total Fire Ban will be in place tomorrow, Monday 2 February, for the Central Ranges and Upper Central West Plains areas. Hot, dry and windy conditions are forecast across parts of the state, increasing the fire danger.

Take action now. Know your fire risk and what you will do if fire threatens. Report all unattended fires to Triple Zero (000).

For more information on Total Fire Ban rules, visit the website: www.rfs.nsw.gov.au/fdr

After the fire passes, we tend to see people wanting to explore fire affected areas.
Firefighters are still working on the firegrounds and there is still active fire.
Attached is a photo of one of several trees that have been damaged and have fallen across roads affected by the Aerodrome Road fire. These trees can come down at short notice and cause serious harm or injury.
If you do not need to be in the area, for your safety and the safety of our firefighters, it is important that you do not enter these areas until firefighters have made the area safe.

Today was our last working day of the deployment, and the fireground was buzzing β€” firefighters, helicopters, and dozers all in full force! Together, we worked through a number of hot spots picked up by the air crew.

Teamwork is the dream work, and without our incredible helicopter crews, heavy machinery, and Sydney brigades, the job would be a whole lot tougher.

Well done to everyone for getting this fire contained so we can all head home safely tomorrow.

And thank you, Dubbo, for showing off your amazing sunsets each night!
