Trek4Kidz Trek4Kidz raises much needed funds for the Starlight Children's Foundation of Australia

Started in 1997 by a small group of like-minded people from Tuross Head on the far south coast of NSW who decided to organize an event that would not only help change the lives of seriously ill children, but would provide a social event for people who share the drive and ambition for charity work & a keen interest in exploring the great Australian countryside and meeting the many characters our co

untry boasts. Trek4Kidz is an annual week-long outback adventure where we explore different regional areas of the Australian countryside by car. In our 28 years Trek4Kidz has visited more than 506 towns, 59 schools and raised over $3,015,965 for the Starlight Children’s Foundation. This support helps Starlight continue to deliver an array of programs designed to make children happy, lift their spirits and provide a positive distraction to seriously ill and hospitalised children. Trek4Kidz is different to most other car events as we are completely run by volunteers, we have no paid positions... this means 100% of the donations we receive are passed on to Starlight.

✨ What a finish when we wrapped up our trek in Coonamble… at our final dinner & awards night at the Coonamble Bowling Club we were blown away when the Club surprised us with an incredible $1,000 donation!

A huge thank you to the Club and the wonderful Coonamble community for their generosity and support… you helped us end this years trek on the highest of highs! 💜⭐️

Today is R U OK DAY… but don’t be afraid to ask your friends any day.

Life can be a struggle, some days are just plain hard & most times you don’t even know why. Listen to your body, find your release, but most importantly speak before life becomes too dark.

✨Awards Night Shenanigans! ✨

The last night wasn’t just about who came 1st, 2nd and 3rd overall… although a big congrats to our podium stars! 🏆

We also rolled out our fun awards because, let’s be honest it’s not all about the numbers 🤗

📸 Fat Time Award ~ for the car that has an all round great time (especially when the cameras are on!)

🦊 Old Grey Fox Award ~ for the car that’s cunning, crafty and always playing the numbers game to sneak a win.

And plenty more cheeky awards to celebrate what makes our event so much fun. Because at the end of the day, it’s not just about winning… it’s about the laughs, the memories and the epic road trip stories we all get to tell 🚗🚙🥰

✨ Trek4kidz ~ Doin it for the kids! ✨

Our Trek family never ceases to amaze me. Every single person who jumps in a car and hits the road does it with a huge heart, and together we’re making a real difference for the Starlight Children’s Foundation.

This year Car 105 ~ Teale, Bosco & Moylie shifted gears into overdrive… raising $57,383 🚗🏆 That’s the biggest fundraising total we’ve ever seen from a single car! We’re still catching our breath!

Then came our Amazing Effort Award. This one isn’t about how much you raise, it’s about giving it a red hot crack throughout the year. This year it goes to our virgin trekkers Car 89 ~ Matt & Pete 🤩 These legends have consistently kept on fundraising all year… I almost got RSI entering all their donations! 😂

And then there’s our Highest Fundraising Team Award. This one’s worked out on the average raised per car so it’s fair and gives every team a shot at glory. For the second year running the trophy goes to Team Wello Car 07 ~ Stu & Mazz and Car 916 ~ Wh**ey & Mrs Wh**ey with a massive $37,793 between just two cars👏 Well done, but look out next year… we’re all coming for you! 😅🤑

To every single one of you and our supporters, THANK YOU! You’re the reason we can brighten the lives of so many kids and families who need it most 🌟💜
