Wauchope parkrun launches on 9th July 2016

parkrun is not a race against other runners, but a 5km timed run, jog or walk. It can really be whatever you want it to be, whether that's for fun or as part of a training plan. Wauchope parkrun offers an opportunity for all members of our local community, male or female, young or old, to come together on a regular basis to enjoy our beautiful river fro

nt reserve and get physically active in the process. We want to encourage people to walk, jog or run together irrespective of their ability – this event is truly open to all and best of all it really is FREE! Taking part is easy – just register in advance by 6pm on the Friday before your first ever parkrun event. The great thing is that you only ever need to do this once! Then just set your alarm for Saturday morning and get yourself there!

Thank you vollies - job done & done well - Nat Hurrell, Laura Walker, Noah Walker, Lisa Duggan, Jennifer Henry, Harvey Walker, Linda Holgate, Timothy Pollitt, Cassandra Pollitt, Cheryl Pittard. A special mention to Nat Hurrell for doing her 1st volunteer role ever & as the time keeper!

Congratulations to Riley Hayes on completing your 50th parkrun, you only have a few to go to catch David Gray who finished his 411th one, Tracey Eastwood finished her 315th one.

Brad Smith ran the 5ks in 17.59 & Katrin Bartens finished the 5k in 23.27 - well done. A shout out to these people who all got PBs today - Ruairi Groogan, Jake Mann, Katrin Bartens, Stephen Purss, Andrew Stark, Kylie Ewart, Gary De Groen, Britt Diffey, Carly Taylor

Wauchope parkrun Event number 454 8th August 2026
This week 62 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 11 were first timers and 9 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 6 different clubs took part.
