Wauchope parkrun launches on 9th July 2016

parkrun is not a race against other runners, but a 5km timed run, jog or walk. It can really be whatever you want it to be, whether that's for fun or as part of a training plan. Wauchope parkrun offers an opportunity for all members of our local community, male or female, young or old, to come together on a regular basis to enjoy our beautiful river fro

nt reserve and get physically active in the process. We want to encourage people to walk, jog or run together irrespective of their ability – this event is truly open to all and best of all it really is FREE! Taking part is easy – just register in advance by 6pm on the Friday before your first ever parkrun event. The great thing is that you only ever need to do this once! Then just set your alarm for Saturday morning and get yourself there!

Parking notice - this Saturday 6 June, we are sharing the park with a Dragon Boat Regatta. This does not normally cause any clashes as we finish before they start but please be considerate about using the boat trailer spaces as people may be arriving early. There is plenty of parking on Rocks Ferry Road, also being mindful here of nearby houses where people could be sleeping in.

Gotta love the volunteers who keep their milestones secret - Larraine Becker is one of those vollies, well done on 25.
The other milestones from yesterday was David Gray running his 400th parkrun - pretty impressive! Olivia Monk doing her 50th & Hannah Abi-Saab doing her 1st parkrun ever.
Congratulations to these people on getting PBs - Nat Hurrell, Jake Mann, Evan Webb, Holly Bannerman & Gary De Groen.

Wauchope parkrun, Event number 442 16th May 2026.
This week 59 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 6 were first timers and 5 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 10 different clubs took part.

The event was made possible by 11 volunteers: Leighanne Stibbard, David Gray, Ian Treweek, Lisa Duggan, Lisa Martin, Larraine Becker, Tony Bannerman, Martie Kuhn, tourist Oliver Hansen, Allan Waters & Warren Martin who celebrated his 24 volunteer role as 1st time Run Director!

A huge shoutout to the following newbies to Wauchope Parkrun on your very 1st one and hopefully we see Andrew Heiniger, Mayamiko Burgio, Agnes Burgio, Lee Davison again.

Kurt Doherty, Dylan Hoffman, Nat Hurrell, Danial Gaunt, Izak Thomas, Jo Beaumont, Bill Beaumont, Bev Edwards, Ebony Lawson, Wayila Davison, Ngaluwi Davison and Michelle Marino should be feeling great as they all got PBs.

Congratulations to Rebekah Turnbull & Jennifer Henry for completing 50 parkruns - well done. I bet Anthony Mahr didn't know that he was going to be a part of my stats today as he has now completed 345 parkruns & Laura Walker has also completed 312
parkruns.

A huge congratulations to Tracey Eastwood as yesterday was her 250th time as a volunteer.
