Behind every Wide-Eyed Wonder project is a community of people helping turn big ideas into opportunities of wonder for children. Throughout our launch fundraising campaign, we’re introducing you to some of the people who help make that work possible. This month, we’re featuring Board Director Anna Masci.

We believe every child deserves the opportunity to experience the joy, connection and possibility that the performing arts can offer. Our board helps bring that belief to life, working together to make those opportunities available to children who might otherwise miss out.

How wonder-full! 🧡

An old train carriage sounds like something that should be retired and forgotten.

Spain has given some of them a completely different job.

Instead of carrying passengers, the carriages are turned into small traveling theaters. They can move from place to place and bring live performances directly to smaller towns that may not have a proper theater nearby.

That is what makes the idea feel special.

People do not always need to travel to a big city just to watch a show. The show can come to them.

For me, this is a really nice way to reuse something old without making it feel old.

The seats, the long shape of the carriage, even the journey itself all become part of the experience.

One day it is parked in one town.

A few days later, another town gets the same chance to watch something live.

I like ideas like this because they give both the train and the audience something new.

Why let an old carriage sit empty when it can still bring people together?

Donate now to support a free live performance of Nana Magic that will take place in City of Logan led by proud Kokatha/Mirning performer Uraine Roelofs.

While everyone is welcome to attend this community-based event, this uplifting, music-filled show will be offered especially for First Nations children and families in Logan and surrounding communities.

With humour, language, song and dance, Nana Magic celebrates culture, imagination, and joy … leaving little hearts full of laughter and pride.

In the slum and waste facility area of Ciketing Udik in Bantar Gebang, Indonesia, children of scavenger communities live in extremely difficult conditions with little access to education or joyful experiences.

Donate now to bring to their community a rare and meaningful day of storytelling, puppetry, arts and crafts led by Puppetaria – a talented community of Indonesian puppeteers – building confidence, sparking creativity, and reminding these children they are seen and valued.
