Childhood Cancer Support is a one of a kind organisation providing homely and welcoming family accommodation for all regional families whose child is being treated for cancer. “Childhood Cancer Support kept our family together when our hearts were falling apart” says Mum Jess from the regional Queensland town of Clermont when she arrived at our family accommodation in January 2021. Childhood Cance

r Support provides something that every family needs in a crisis – a home away from home for the whole family, transport to and from the hospital, a qualified Family Social Worker who provides counselling and mental health support to all members of the family. We provide a fully furnished and self-contained unit where the whole family can be together to provide love and support during a very traumatic time. Childhood Cancer Support is one of a kind – a family focused charity offering regional families a place to call home while their child is undergoing lifesaving cancer treatment in Brisbane. All cancers. No cost…..Ever.

2021 has been exciting for our organisation with the purchase of five additional houses in East Brisbane, close to the Queensland Children’s Hospital. We are realising our long term strategy to transition our accommodation for our families within walking distance from the hospital. This has been an exciting opportunity to work with local community groups and organisations to build a new home away from home for even more families in crisis. Does your organisation have any ideas about how you would like to work with us to build hope, security and support for Australian families fighting childhood cancer? If so, please contact us on 07 3844 5000 or www.ccs.org.au

One afternoon, five-year-old Zoe dropped to the ground screaming in pain. Her family had no idea a tumour had ruptured inside her body, or that within days, their entire world would change.

Soon after being diagnosed with a rare and aggressive liver cancer, Zoe, her twin sister Molly and their parents packed up their lives in Grafton and made the drive to Brisbane for urgent treatment.

For regional families like the McPhersons, access to treatment simply wouldn’t be possible without somewhere safe and affordable to stay close to the hospital. That’s where Childhood Cancer Support steps in.

We're trying to raise $50,000 in 50 days to house one family for an entire year while their child undergoes cancer treatment 💛

Every donation helps keep families together when they need it most. Donate today via https://fundraise.ccs.org.au/50kin50days

Six months ago, Zoe’s family’s world changed overnight.

After being diagnosed with a rare and aggressive cancer, Zoe, her twin sister Molly and their parents were forced to leave their home in Grafton and relocate to Brisbane for urgent treatment.

Since then, the McPherson family have faced months of hospital visits, chemotherapy and uncertainty, all while trying to stay together far from home. Families like these are why Childhood Cancer Support exists.

We’re aiming to raise $50,000 in 50 days to provide one regional family with a home away from home for an entire year while their child undergoes treatment. These vital services mean families can stay close to the care their child needs most.

There is only one more month to donate 💛 Donate today at https://fundraise.ccs.org.au/50kin50days

Zoe was a happy, healthy little girl, doing everything alongside her twin sister Molly. Within days, her family’s world was turned upside down by her cancer diagnosis.

Suddenly, life became hospital appointments, treatment plans, long days away from their home in Grafton, and the heart breaking reality of two inseparable sisters being forced apart for the very first time.

For regional families facing childhood cancer, staying close to treatment often comes with enormous emotional and financial pressure. Childhood Cancer Support provides accommodation close to the hospital, helping families stay together when they need each other most.

We're aiming to raise $50,000 in 50 days to provide one family with a home away from home for an entire year.

We are over two weeks into our $50K in 50 Days fundraiser ✨

Thanks to your support, we’re already making meaningful progress, but there’s still more to do!

It costs $50,000 to house one family for a year. A place to stay close to treatment, a sense of stability during uncertainty, and a community that understands what they’re going through. For families who have had to leave everything behind, this support can make all the difference.

Every donation, big or small, helps us get closer to our goal and ensures more families can access this care when they need it most 🔗 Donate at fundraise.ccs.org.au/50kin50days and be part of the impact.
