Those abused, neglected, lost and scared, we will provide the love and care that they need. is a charity rescue/sanctuary/rehoming farm for rural animals in South Australia. We rely on donations and fund raising to solely provide for the unwanted abused and orphaned.

On this day we join with good sanctuaries throughout the world in celebrating cows!

World Cow Day is just one day amongst 365 days per year in which we must rejoice and marvel at the beauty of cows. For such an animal possesses such magical qualities. Naturally peaceful and loving creatures, cows are culturally, spiritually and religiously revered in many societies. Some countries worship these majestic animals, these animals of significance. Sadly, others use and abuse the gentlest Mammels of the earth.

In India the small family dairy industry is a far cry from that of the west. In parts of this country the calf is never separated from their mother, and the drinking of their mother's milk is left for the babies first before excess is taken for the persons.

Whilst we do not accept that any animal is here to be used by humans, nor is it a necessity, we must recognise that the Western culture simply has no regard for these gentle giants. Used for both meat and dairy, cows are appallingly treated and disposed by the industry of this country, and many like us. Others are still used as "work horses", utilised in Neanderthal fashion for unsavory design. Let us not forget the leather industry. That which worldwide strips these poor creatures of their living skin to adorn oneself in an act of merciless savagery.

Sanctuaries around the world aim to save these beautiful animals. Preserving dignity and returning love. Removing cows from the peril of slaughter or a life of despair. In doing so we open our gates and hearts to people wishing to learn of the beauty we know. To experience the true nature of the loving gods and goddesses.

As with Ozzie and Cee Cee, cows throughout the globe wish only for acceptance and a shared cherishment of daily being. The undeniable warmth that is the aura of both of these cows resonates within the hearts and souls of every kind worldwide.

You can experience the wonder of Ozzie and Cee Cee via simple visit to the sanctuary. The same can be said for all cows in all sanctuaries existing. Please, join us in realising that cows are so intelligent, so memorable and ever so glorious.

She has spotted another fairy! Ahh, we told you that Pip was bringing along a friend to this year's open day!

We welcome Aurora the Mushroom Fairy with her magical bubbles!! Bubbles here, bubbles there....bubbles everywhere!! Now we know why Posey is so intrigued....she has those horns ready to pop some suds!

Your kids are certainly in for some fairy magic at this year's event! Two fairies! What more could one ask?

The affable Wally!

This boy may be Wally by name, but certainly not by nature! Well....unless you consider his occasional bursts of wackiness! But hey, happiness is the curator of some silliness!

But, Wally's true nature, beyond his extreme joviality, is one of love. The perfect gentleman, the gentle offsider, and the statesman of fairness, wisdom and integrity.

To be honest, Wally is somewhat the big brother of his closest friends. His daily contact with Nelly, Sheila, Little Lamb and May sees him take the role of the boy who looks out for his ladies. Wally is the equality type. He knows that his female group are strong, they hold their own. But, even they just love to have Wally there, somewhat as a magical companion, a pleasantness to any day they enjoy.

Yes, Wally is the exquisitely dazzling boy both inside and out. A soul enriched by kindness and looks defying the days. 💚

You made it, sweet girl. 💚

Sunday could never have been so wonderful. A three hour round trip so exceptionally exciting. The end goal so incredibly satisfying.

This day would be filled with joyous emotion for humans and animal alike. For a dear soul, once battling for life, would return to her home. With her arrival she would bring a completeness not felt in so long.

Of course, we speak of Flossy. Deemed fit and well enough to leave hospital our beautiful girl would exhibit traits that are purely associated with herself. It would take mere seconds for Flossy to realise the voices, to hear familiar words. Yes, her mum and dad had come to finally take her with them.

Flossy's car ride to her oasis would be so familiar. Old habits die hard in the form of chest cuddles, kisses and a calm so glorious that deep sleep ensues upon her chosen suitor. No greater feeling than the total love of two sentient beings becoming one.

Once home there would be slight trepidation as faces once familiar were second guessed. But, we talk of innocents here, unconditional till the end. A feed and more rest, a steadfast feeling of belonging.

Flossy has more visits to come. Tests to confirm glucose stability and bloods to determine a slightly abnormal liver count. But, overall, this dynamic and perfect lamb is 100% on who she entered hospital as. Whilst Flossy's invoice is yet to be sent we know that we will need help. But, that is then, today is now!

Flossy is so happy, so content, and so engaging. Such strength she has shown to get to her current health. It is all about Flossy, but it would be remiss of us not to thank, again, such a wide range of Roseworthy staff. Indebted is a term thrown about flippantly at times, but in this instant it holds so much emotional meaning. THANK YOU.

He may be new....but Bokkie has his eye firmly on the prize!

Bokkie has spotted a fairy! A fairy of the friendliest of dispositions! A talented fairy. One of children's delight! And, Bokkie wants a piece of what this fairy is doing!

Yes, we talk of our great friend, Pip the Fairy! She will be returning this year for the open day to keep the kids happy. Face painting is this fairy's business, and you can have your preferred face paint on the day.

But Pip is more than just a face painting fairy. She is a kids best friend as she keeps them entertained! And, this year Pip is bringing company. But, more on that next time!!

Yes, there's activities to dazzle the kids at the Furever Farm Open Day 2026! A day when joy translates from humans to animals alike!

Flossy was created to do magical things. Her place upon this earth was to be special. For she is the stealer of hearts, the fluttering of stomachs. Life, it seems, had obstacles for this baby. It would demand a strength of 1000 people, a will of determination.

We will never know why Flossy was chosen for such a difficult path. We only know that which is placed in front of us. We see Flossy struggle, thus we are pained for we do not understand.

Since birth a baby has been stricken, almost robbed of time usually spent at play. For over a month Flossy has been separated from family, fellow lambs and humans alike. But, she has been with a second extended family who have cared for her and worked to save the life of an angel deserved. This work, it seems, is paying off. We suggest such with crossed fingers.

The path to recovery is slow. For perfection be the desired result. We, and Roseworthy Large Animal Vet stood beside a baby who answered all of life's somewhat unfair demands. Flossy is slowly turning the corner.

Weaning from her administered glucose it is hoped that Flossy can now make her own. Coming from IV injected fluids Flossy can enjoy the nutrients of a natural lamb. And, with her rumen so impeccably repaired, surely this little girl can simply be left to love.

Look at this tiny gorgeous girl. Only a week ago she failed to pick herself from the ground. Now, she walks freely, she grazes happily. In sanctuary we believe that miracles DO occur. Flossy is her very own miracle!

Today we received simply the best text ever!

We sing the praises of Roseworthy often. And, we do so with good reason. Taking time out of a busy schedule, our friends thought of us.

We received this photograph accompanied by three short videos. All updates of beautiful Flossy! 🩷

Tomorrow we will share with you those videos. We will convey to you Flossy's update. You will know why we are emotional. For we are certain you will be, too.

We love this little girl so much. Again, we are certain that you do, too. We are both in love and inspired by Flossy's fight, her will to overcome, and her refusal to be anything other than who she is; a gorgeous innocent little baby who simply wishes to get well. 💚

As time passes so does progress. In the hands of the best possible Flossy knows only one way. Forward to health, onward to love. 💕

Hey family!

Looking for something cool to do tomorrow morning?

Our good friend and supporter, Laura, is once again holding her Monthly Charity Vegan Bake Sale at the Urrbrae Market, with all proceeds raised going straight to the animals of Furever Farm!

Luckily, tomorrow's weather is looking sweet...almost as sweet as the treats you will find at Laura's stall!

We truly can't thank Laura enough for her ongoing support and love for the sanctuary and all of the animal residents!

So, be sure to head on down to Urrbrae High School between 9am and 12pm to support Laura and Furever Farm! We just know you'll love what you find!! 💚

Bokkie - the lucky kid from Eden Valley.

Spotted by an eagle eyed young passenger on the roadside of the Valley, Bookie had literally appeared from nowhere. But, fortune favours the brave who come from hiding at just the right time. For Bokkie it would be a case of bumping into people who cared.

Efforts were made to discover just where this young kid had come from. Mostly, these cases remain a mystery, but on this occasion the property of Bokkie's origin would be found. Sadly, the care afforded by the rescuing party would not extend to the originals.

Bokkie was the last remaining goat of a handful that had already passed away. Left to fend for himself he had found his way into the big wide world. Upon contact, the story became clear. A few kids had been purchased "for the kids and to mow the lawn". The novelty for the children had worn off. Bokkie was no longer wanted. The rescuers were faced with the ultimatum; "do you want him, because I am just going to dump him". So cruel yet so commonplace.

Naturally a family who had cared to stop and whisk a wayward goat to safety were not simply going to leave the goat to be dumped. But, admitting freely, they also did not have the infrastructure to cater for a growing goat, let alone take in another as company. Their search would find Furever Farm.

Bokkie arrived this afternoon, as friendly as a hand reared goat should. But, he was lost. Having been a sole baby in his original dwelling, to finding brief safety at another, only to enter a third domain would rattle even the oldest and wisest of minds. Bokkie is but a bubba, settling would take time. But, remarkable is the soul of one who recognises a change of direction in life. For Bokkie is no fool. He realised, his rescue from the roadside to the arrival at an animal filled paradise, he was in safe hands, that his fortunes had changed for the better. All from the chance meeting of a miracle.

Bokkie's future is now bright. For whichever household he takes up residence will be permanent and filled with love. No longer is he the unwanted. Now, he is the cherished.
