A bit of Throwback Thursday....
One so tiny and butter would not melt in the mouth.
The other with the slight grin and eyes that have you worried! 😁
Meet Larry everyone.
In baby form Larry was the perfect gentleman. As skippedy-do as lambs can get. We recall fondly the bottle feeds and the finger suckles. We remember the playful jumps as Larry and his friends gamed the same as lambs of today.
Larry was always a leader, never a follower. Even as a youngster the other lambs would succumb to Larry's leadership qualities. This trait would never leave. Instead, it would follow Larry into current day.
Along his path Larry would have many worried as he grew and grew into quite the large boy. As a chief of sheep Larry would decide that his humour would be at the expense of humans! For one would never know the intentions of this woolly lad. Was he keen for a pat? Or was he up for a headbutt??
Yes, over his years Larry has had many volunteers too frightened to enter his lair! For if Larry felt even slightly comical or agitated you dare not turn your back or take your eyes from the bad boy! Only the founders of the sanctuary dared venture into Larry's home. Even then, a means of protection was planned well before entry!
But, with loving arms comes positive results. Larry, as he aged, grew more mature and mellow. Younger more agile sheep came along and took the mantle that Larry was happy enough to relinquish. And today we have a 10 year old boy who no longer lives for fight and fright. Now, Larry still looks at you with those mischievous eyes, but his intentions are decidedly pure. No more headbutts, no more scares. Everyone is welcome and Larry is truly the sweetest of aging men.
10 years is a long time in sheep speak. And we declare, despite the initial roughness and hazard, we wouldn't change our relationship with Larry one bit. For it has been his life his way and Larry has provided so many laughs and exquisite memories. 💚
