Unfortunately it is a sign of the current times.

Looking forward to a fantastic HHF in 2027.

We regret to inform that we, the committee, feel it is in everyone's best interest to postpone this year's Heavy Horse Festival of SA until next year in light of the current fuel crisis and ongoing international conflict.

We're sorry to disappoint our competitors and those who were keen to spectate this year. We're hoping that the extra time will give us a chance to build an even better show next year.

Please join us for our guest speaker night, Thursday, 26th of February, with our guest speaker- Harry Vidal.

Harry travels the Australian Outback, in his wagon pulled by his Clydesdales, raising money for his chosen charity. The distance Harry covers, and the people he encounters is incredible, I can’t wait to hear some of the stories and experiences he will recount to us.

Please join us for a meal, some socialising and to hear from Harry, about his past, and his upcoming adventures, at ‘The Astor Hotel’, 437 Pulteney St, Adelaide, from 6:30.

The only cost is your own meal, there is no requirement for club membership, and no commitment expectations. It’s open to everyone and a great chance to socialise with other horse enthusiasts.

Please let us know if you are planning to attend, so we can keep track of numbers and make sure the room we booked is big enough.

This is a fun, encouraging show and it would great to see heavy horses well represented.

Awesome club day today at Finniss.

Numbers were down, but achievements and enthusiasm were very high.

Annie pulled something for the first time
Dave had his first outing
Dave and Angus long reined as a pair
Annie and jock long reined as a pair
Geraldine long reined Angus with the sled and learned a heap about harness options
Dave, Angus, Jock and Annie worked as a team of 4 abreast.

A great day, enjoyed by all who attended.
