As the new name suggests, we are largely a group of keen shooters from the Barossa and surrounding areas. We initially had a lease arrangement on a property in Tungkillo but after 5 years of hard work and high hopes, that arrangement ended due to circumstances beyond our control. We are still an active and financial club hiring some space at the Monarto Shooting Complex once a month while we are a
ctively pursuing a parcel of land to call our own in the Barossa Valley and develop a brand new multi-discipline range. If you own a farm or a parcel of land, perhaps an old quarry and are open to negotiate a peppercorn lease with us, we'd looooooove to hear from you. We're not overly keen to travel all the way to Monarto so we can shoot and we would welcome any offer to accommodate us. At the moment we shoot mostly rifles and pistols of all calibres but don't really have the facilities for shotgun shooting (except patterning). Female, male and shooters living with disabilities are all catered for. Youth are encouraged to participate in fun events to boost confidence and awareness of fi****ms safety and build skills. Those that have a competitive nature have opportunities to compete at state and national levels just like adult members. If you need assistance with rifle, shotgun and pistol licensing we can help. We have SAPOL-accredited fi****ms safety instructors that will be running courses to train you up to a high level of proficiency and safe fi****ms handling. First time shooters are most welcome but we ask that you contact our secretary first, to organise a date so we can ensure we have a Fi****ms Safety Instructor or Range Officer available to assist.
