FIBA RULE CHANGES EDUCATIONAL SESSION | REGISTRATIONS - NOW OPEN

With some major important changes coming from 1st October 2026. It's important for all referees, coaches and organisers to understand the changes to the rules.

Run by Australian FIBA Instructor, senior NBL and WNBL referee coach Chris Clarke. Chris has many years of experience in refereeing and refereeing coaching at the highest levels and has helped develop many of the current National League and International referees in Australia and New Zealand.

TERM 4 SPORTING SCHOOLS GRANTS | NOW OPEN

Choose basketball for your students in Term 4. Sporting schools funding applications for Term 4 2026 are now open.

Sporting Schools programs are provided free to children and their families to help students build the confidence and capability to be active for life. Through Sporting Schools, students are introduced to basketball with two nationally accredited programs including Ford Aussie Hoops, the official introductory program for primary school students, and 3X3 basketball, designed with secondary school students in mind.

Schools are encouraged to submit their Sporting Schools funding application before 4:30 ACST on Friday 21 August 2026.

2026 U16 NATIONAL JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIPS | FORD BEYOND THE COURT AWARD

Congratulations to Erin Blott U16 Girls Team Manager on being awarded the FORD Beyond The Court Award at the 2026 Foot Locker U16 National Championships.

The award was presented by the Ford Dealer Network and Basketball Australia to the Team Manager or Coach who goes above and beyond the court to support their team.

We are extremely proud and grateful for Erin and her endless positive and can do attitude, the girls particularly loved their daily smoothies and her mum dancing. 🦸‍♀️
