We’re proud to support initiatives that help more women discover the opportunities available across South Australia’s construction industry.

The Building Women Construction Taster Program is a fantastic opportunity for women to gain practical experience, explore different career pathways, connect with industry and build the confidence to take their next step.

With strong demand for skilled workers across the sector, creating accessible pathways into construction is more important than ever.

If you know a woman who is considering a career in construction, changing careers or returning to the workforce, this is a great opportunity to explore what a career in construction could look like.

Together, we can help build a more diverse, skilled and inclusive construction workforce.

educate. empower. employ.
Building Women is a South Australian based not-for-profit dedicated to increasing female participation in construction. Our goal is to remove barriers, challenge outdated perceptions, and create a welcoming industry for women.

Big boost for apprenticeship support 🚀

With the 2026-28 Training Plan, CITB has upgraded Apprenticeship Training Support so every qualification now receives full payment, including electrotechnology and data & communications, which were previously capped at 50%.

Even better, payments are now made every six months, helping employers cover real training costs faster, from mentoring and onboarding to training time and equipment.
