Freedom Rides had its world premiere at JIFF on Sunday night, to a sold-out theatre.

It was a privilege to share a lesser-known chapter of Jewish and First Nations history with our community, and to hear from panelists Brian Aarons, Buddy Hippi and Nick Gerstel, who shared their experiences of the joys and challenges of uniting to fight injustice.

Thank you to all of you who came, and to everyone who made the night possible. It was a joy to share it with you.

PERTH: Join us Sunday 8 November in Yokine - https://events.humanitix.com/freedom-rides-screening-perth

SYDNEY: Join us Thursday 12 November at Ritz Cinema, Randwick. Tickets via JIFF.

Today we remember those murdered and taken hostage on October 7. We hold their families, the survivors, and all who carry this trauma and grief especially close today.

May their memories be a blessing. May we honour them through the future we help build.

Nepal is facing a devastating crisis. Flash floods and landslides have caused hundreds of deaths, left thousands missing, and destroyed homes, water systems and basic infrastructure for entire communities.

Our thoughts are with everyone affected, including the Nepali Australian community here at home awaiting news of loved ones.

If you're looking for a practical way to help, we're sharing two organisations doing critical relief work on the ground right now. Every contribution supports real, immediate needs.

Give if you can.
