The official student magazine of the Monash Student Association since 1964. Lot's Wife is a free publication at Monash University (Clayton campus).

A department of the Monash Student Association, Lot's Wife is completely student written and organised. Lot’s Wife delivers quality content spanning from arts and science features to music reviews and creative writing, all generated by students who gain valuable writing and journalistic experience. We have four core sections, each corresponding to various topics and fields: Campus, Creative, Analy

sis, Culture, the magazine is not only limited to those sections, as we aim to intersperse the more regular content with more unique and engaging articles and pieces in order to truly cater to all regards of Monash’s lively community. Edition 4: Chaos is out - for real this time. Be sure to get a copy before they’re all gone.

In a win for independent media, transparency, and ice-cream enjoyers, the RO’s decision to ban Edition 4 has been overturned.

The Election Tribunal has ruled that we complied with all approval processes and that the Edition was not in breach of the Regulations.

We will have more details on the matter in Edition 5, but in the meantime, thanks for all of your support as we fought this.

Don’t forget to pick up a copy next time you’re on campus.

Edition 4 hit the stands on Wednesday, but the RO has determined the Edition is in breach of the Election Regulations and has confiscated all copies.

The matter is before the Election Tribunal, so it would be inappropriate to comment further, but we are confident that the decision will be overturned.

We hope to bring positive news of a reversal of the decision soon, and to be able to share what you all contributed.

Submissions for Edition 5 of Lot’s Wife are now open! This edition is the Dissent Edition, in collaboration with the MSA Women’s Department, and like last year, the magazine will be split half/half, with one part as a normal Lot’s Edition and the other created by the Women’s Department. Submissions are open for both until the 12th of August.

Before Lot’s Wife, there was only Chaos.

For Edition 4, Lot’s is looking back to our history and our theme is “Chaos.” For those who aren’t avid Monash history buffs, before Lot’s Wife was created in 1964, the MAS’ paper was Chaos. We’d love to see pieces about history - any history you’re particularly interested in, and the idea of chaos itself.

Submissions close on the 1st of July, and you can submit through the link in bio. We can’t wait to see what you write!

Submissions are open for our 3rd edition of the year!

Following on from Around the World, this edition’s theme is Under the Sea. Pieces on bodies of water (obviously), lesser known ideas and issues, and fish are amongst those we’d love to see.
