Amazing work SNAICC-National Voice for our Children and all those involved.

This evidence review highlights that when Aboriginal-led, culturally safe and properly resourced, these approaches strengthen family voice, cultural connection, kinship care and better outcomes for children.

The report also reinforces the importance of self-determination, community control and long-term investment in Aboriginal-led solutions. 👏👏

Link to report in the comments! Worth a read.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Family-Led Decision Making is a family-led approach that supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families to make decisions about their children in culturally safe ways.

It strengthens culture, family connections, children and young people's voices and is linked with better care planning and stronger kinship outcomes.

What a deadly day at Culture Hub! 🌿✨

A huge thank you to everyone who came out and joined us for one of our biggest Culture Hub days yet! It was amazing to see so many young people and families connecting through culture, creativity and community 🤎

From bracelet making, shell and feather creations, colouring activities, to sharing stories, laughs and yarns together. The space was full of positive energy all day. The young people showed so much creativity and pride in the pieces they created 🌈

Thank you to everyone who helped make the day possible and to all the community members who came along and supported the event. We love seeing Culture Hub continue to grow into such a strong, welcoming and culturally safe space for everyone 🔥

We can’t wait for the next one! 🙌

A beautiful outcome from our monthly Culture Hub 🤎

This month we focused on learning about symbols and how they can be used to tell our stories. Each young person creating something meaningful and personal to them. It was powerful to see culture, creativity and identity come together in such a strong way.

So proud of our young people for the way they showed up, shared and connected ✨

Keep an eye out for next month’s date - we’d love to see you there!
