Our Herb had a celebration in his honour yesterday at RSL. To think that Small Ships crew were not recognised by RSL for a while after WW11 even though they were in danger in war zones and their contribution was essential to the various armies.

A few of our our H.B. S.A.C volunteers enjoyed a lovely morning tea at the Clubhouse this morning, as we recognise our valued volunteers during National Volunteers week.
Thank you for coming along today, and a huge thank you to each & everyone of you for your tireless dedication in ensuring that every thing runs as smoothly as possible at our club.
There's always so much going on behind the scenes, which most members wouldn't even realise. So for all of you hard working volunteers, we know just how dedicated you all are, and how much you all do.
We do notice and we do appreciate it so much more than words can explain.
Shame our hard working President, Dale Stanley was unable to attend.
We wish you a full and speedy recovery Dale.🙏

A small number of our table tennis ladies group, enjoyed a lovely home cooked lunch at Remi's By The Bay Cafe & Carvery today.
It was a lovely catch up, and the meals were delicious & beautifully presented. I highly recommend this friendly venue.💯
Sorry so many of our group were unable to attend today we missed you.
Hopefully we'll have a better roll up next time 😋🍴🍹☕️

Our t’ai chi / chair yoga classes are becoming very popular with a full house today (28 ) Nice to see so many enjoying the benefits of gentle exercise.

What do you do the day after your 100th Birthday? Well you have a couple of games of table tennis with our Mayor George Seymour and long time friend Eileen, who has reached the ripe old age of 95, and still going strong. Happy Centennial birthday Herb. Hope you've enjoyed your special days.
A big thank you to Our Mayor George Seymour, and our local state representative David Lee for attending today. It was very much appreciated and Herb was quite chuffed 🎉🎂🏓

An extra special Happy 100th Birthday to our friend and colleague Herb Gardner.
Celebrating his special day with family, friends & dignitaries by planting a tree at the Hervey Bay Botanical gardens this morning.
Still amazingly active, healthy and sharp as tack. And still enjoying his table tennis twice per week. You're a living legend Herb.
We all love you and enjoy hearing your incredible stories.
