Charlie and Friends Foundation

Charlie and Friends Foundation Charlie and friends is a community that is here to support you and your loved ones who have experienced pregnancy and infant loss.

We understand how difficult this new chapter of life is and want to offer support & compassion to help your family Charlie & Friends Foundation is a registered Australian charity dedicated to supporting families navigating the heartbreaking loss of a child. Founded in loving memory of Charlie, we exist to bring connection, care, and hope to bereaved parents, siblings, and extended family members a

cross Western Australia. We provide compassionate, practical support through a range of programs designed to meet families where they are in their grief journey. This includes peer support events such as retreats, craft days, sibling fun days, and community gatherings that foster understanding and friendship among those who share similar experiences. At the heart of Charlie & Friends is a commitment to ensuring no family grieves alone. We believe in creating safe, nurturing spaces where stories can be shared, memories can be honoured, and healing can begin. Through collaboration with mental health professionals, universities, and community partners, we aim to build a network of care that recognises the unique needs of each family, while celebrating the enduring love between parent and child. Charlie’s life inspires everything we do. By supporting bereaved families with compassion and understanding, we honour his memory and remind every grieving parent and sibling that their love and their child’s story will never be forgotten.

The hardest part about grief can often be the nights.
When everyone else is asleep, but your mind isn’t. 🌙

The replaying.
The silence.
The missing them.
The wondering if anyone else in the world feels this way too.

That’s why I created The 2am Club — a worldwide online community for bereaved mums and dads awake in the early hours of the morning carrying the weight of child loss.

A safe place to:
🤍 Share what’s keeping you awake
🤍 Connect with other bereaved parents
🤍 Speak openly about grief
🤍 Say your child’s name
🤍 Find comfort in knowing someone, somewhere, understands
🤍 the option to also post anonymously if you choose

No matter where you are in the world, grief doesn’t sleep.
But neither do we. ✨

If this sounds like something your heart needs right now, come join us on Facebook by searching: The 2am Club

Different time zones. Same heartbreak.
Someone, somewhere, is awake too. 🤍

Mother’s Day can hold so many different emotions. 🤍

Today, we’re sending love to:
• Mothers grieving the loss of a child
• Those grieving their own mothers
• Women longing to become mothers
• Mothers navigating strained relationships
• Those who have chosen a different path
• Mothers silently struggling behind the smiles

And to every mum, grandmother, mother figure and person holding space for others with love we see you too.

However today feels for you, please know you are not alone.
Holding you gently this Mother’s Day. 🤍

☕️ Coffee, Company & Chats ☕️

Ever leave an event or social catch up wishing you had more time to finish a conversation with someone?

That’s exactly what this is about. No pressure. No agenda. Mums, grandparents, aunties & friends all invited to join.

Just good coffee, genuine company, and the chance to sit down and actually finish the conversations that mattered.

A space to connect, chat, listen, laugh, vent, relate… or simply enjoy being around people who get it.

Sometimes the most meaningful support starts with:
“Tell me more about that…”

Introducing, Charlie’s Wings Of Support 🪽✨

This has been in the making for a while thoughtfully built with carefully selected therapists who truly understand children and grief. Some of these are therapists I’ve personally trusted with my own daughter, and I’m so proud to now offer this program to other families 🤍

Charlie’s Wings of Support is a therapy funding program designed to help bereaved siblings access the professional support they need, when they need it.

Each approved child can receive up to $1,500 in funding for services such as psychology, counselling, play therapy, and other approved grief-informed therapies.

Open to children under 18 across Western Australia, this program recognises that grief doesn’t follow a timeline. Support isn’t just needed in the early days it’s needed as children grow, change, and begin to understand their loss in new ways.

We’re here to make sure no sibling is left to navigate that alone.

Today, Tyler and I had the privilege of sitting down for brunch with a family who are navigating the very early days of losing their beautiful boy.

There’s something so deeply personal about one-on-one connection, it’s sitting together in the silence, sharing stories, saying their child’s name, and holding space for whatever comes up. Offering this type of support is something I’ve really come to value and hold close.

It was cathartic, raw, and so meaningful. I feel so honoured to be trusted with their story and to hear about their beautiful boy and the love that surrounds him.

These quieter, one-on-one moments offer a different kind of support, gentle, personal, and led by what each family needs in that moment.

If you feel like this is something you or your partner might benefit from, whether it’s a coffee, a walk, or a phone call, however support looks for you right now, we are here ❤️‍🩹

Today we celebrate the strength, love and resilience of women everywhere 🩵🤍

At Charlie & Friends, we are surrounded by some of the most incredible women, mothers, grandmothers, sisters, daughters and friends who show up for each other through life’s hardest moments. Women who carry love for their children in their arms and in their hearts. Women who continue to nurture, support and uplift those around them, even while navigating their own grief.

This International Women’s Day, we honour the women in our community who remind us what courage, compassion and connection truly look like.

To the mums who keep going when the world feels heavy, to the nanas who hold families together, to the sisters and friends who sit beside someone in their grief, you are the heart of this community.

Today we celebrate you.
Your strength. Your love. Your unwavering support for one another.

Because when women come together, extraordinary things happen. 💙
