🦖 MESSY PLAY + DINOSAURS = THE PERFECT DAY! 🦕

One little dinosaur enthusiast turned our play space into a prehistoric adventure! Armed with toy dinosaurs, muddy water, sand and a huge imagination, they stomped, splashed and ROARED their way through the messiest dinosaur world ever created. 🌋✨

The dinosaurs needed muddy volcanoes, swampy puddles and sandy caves to survive — and our little explorer made sure every single one was perfectly messy. Tiny hands dug through the mud, having a blast!

By the end of the adventure, the dinosaurs were covered head to tail in sand… and honestly, so was the child! 😂

Messy play isn’t just fun — it sparks imagination, builds confidence, encourages sensory exploration and creates magical learning moments children will remember forever.

Because sometimes the best learning happens with dirty hands and a roaring imagination. 🦖💚

🧡We’re entering into the coldest and wettest time of the year in and around Boorloo, as the winds change to the west and the south. This season is also marked by the emergence of the blueberry lily and purple flags, while we will see ‘wardongs’ (ravens) pair up and ‘Mali’ (black swans) gather as they prepare to nest and breed.

Today two curious little learners transformed nature into their very own sensory café. 🌿✨

Armed with buckets, leaves, sand, bark and a whole lot of imagination, they carefully mixed “sand cakes” and poured “sandy apple juice” for one another. They scooped, stirred, decorated and proudly served their creations with the biggest smiles on their faces.

What may have looked like simple messy play was actually rich with learning. Through play, the children explored textures, practised communication, developed fine motor skills, shared ideas and built confidence in their creativity. Nature became their classroom, and imagination became the lesson.

Play-based learning reminds us that some of the most meaningful experiences happen when children are given the freedom to explore, create and connect with the world around them. 🍃🪣

Sometimes all children need is a little sand, a few leaves, and the space to imagine something magical.
