It was a wonderful time had by all at our Seniors Morning Tea and Quiz, with over 70 people attending. We are so grateful to our sponsor, Bethanie, for supporting the event; The Loop Cafe for catering such a delicious morning tea; and Dave Stanford for being an amazing emcee. Come and join us on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month for a sing-along in our cafe at Lifestreams, 2 McNabb Loop, Como. We will have musicians performing popular music from years gone by. Please feel comfortable sitting and enjoying the tunes, or even picking up a sing book and joining in.

🌞 What a wonderful way to finish Term 2 of our English Conversation Circle!

We celebrated the end of the term with a walk along the beautiful South Perth foreshore. Along the way, we spotted some of Western Australia's amazing wildlife, including the iconic black swans, a pelican, ducks and seagulls.

Our conversations covered WA's three threatened black cockatoo species—the Carnaby's Cockatoo, Baudin's Cockatoo and the Forest Red-tailed Black Cockatoo—as well as endangered animals from our own home countries. It was a great opportunity to practise English while learning about nature and sharing stories from different cultures.

As we walked together, we reflected on how much life has changed over the past 10 weeks. We celebrated new jobs, new friendships, growing confidence in English, and many exciting new experiences. We also exchanged holiday ideas, favourite places to visit around Western Australia, and travel tips for exploring our beautiful state.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this term such a friendly, welcoming and encouraging community. 💙

We can't wait to see everyone again when the English Conversation Circle returns to the Victoria Park Library on Monday, 20 July. New participants are always welcome!
