Just a few more sleeps until our next Repair Cafe!! We are so excited to be popping up the Sunday 13th at the Machinery Preservation Club of WA Inc open day!! We will be there from 9am-2pm inside the Boiler Room. Entry for the event will be $5 and all proceeds go to the continued restoration of the historical machines 🚂 We will have our amazing sewers and sparky ready to help you with any small repairs you may have. THERE HAS BEEN A CHANGE OF PLANS FOR SEPTEMBER!!!
Okay stay with me on this one becuase it's going to get wild! Our September dates have had a little change up.

The main Repair Cafe for Septmber with be Saturday 13th for 9am-2pm as part of the Machinery Preservation Club of WA Inc Open Day. We will have our usual team there helping you with all of your repairs on the day. https://www.facebook.com/photo?fbid=1059653706693670&set=a.156577653667951

The following weekend September 19th, we will be doing a pop up at the Dayton Family Day at the Dayton Distric Open Space form 10:30am-1:30pm. Its Repair Weekend! Only 2 more sleeps until the Swap Repair Cafe is open! 🧶 June Repair Theme – Darning Woollens 🧦

Got a favourite jumper, cardigan, scarf or pair of socks with a small hole or worn patch?

This month at Repair Café Greater Bunbury we're highlighting the traditional skill of darning woollens. Instead of throwing away well-loved winter items, learn how simple repairs can extend their life and keep them in use for years to come.

Darning is a practical and sustainable way to:
🧶 Repair small holes in knitwear
🧶 Strengthen worn areas before they become larger problems
🧶 Extend the life of quality woollen garments
🧶 Reduce textile waste going to landfill
🧶 Learn a useful repair skill from experienced volunteers

Bring along your woollen jumpers, cardigans, socks, beanies or scarves and chat with our volunteers about whether they can be repaired.

Every item repaired is one less item thrown away. ♻️
