Every 2 months, we host a community bushwalk to observe the Noongar seasons changing. It was a cold and windy one yesterday, but the Carnaby cockatoos were loving it, and 7 different types of local orchid were out. The next one is on 7th November and promises to be warmer!
Join local guide and botanical expert Ray, and have some good chats along the way.

Good food, good music, good play.
We host Meet Your Neighbours a few times a year to give YOU opportunity to come together and get to know some people. Celebrating all good dads and father figures in our lives this morning.

A reminder that the Dianella Regional Open Space nature walk for the season of Djilba is this Saturday.
There are over 30 species flowering including 7 species of Orchid.
We will meet at the carpark off Morley drive, near White Eagles soccer club at 9am this Saturday.

Makuru is the season that brings the first heavy rains, and sees the Scarlett banksia in bloom. Fire is very important during this season, a useful resource for food preparation and production, tool and artefact production, hunting and driving game, and for warmth and signalling. Fattier red-meat animals such as the yonga (kangaroo) and weitj (emu) are hunted at this time of year.

Come join us at Light Street Reserve, at 9 am this Saturday 4th July, to spot the season changes. The forecast is sunny and dry, and should be a good moment to dodge the rain drops and get some outside time!

Thanks to all who came and helped out at out morning tea! Big thanks to Ayesha who curated these gorgeous kids activities. For more of her play experiences get in touch and cone along to her beautiful Friday morning group.
We raised a wonderful $511 at the last count, and had a lot of fun despite the storm and power outage that kept us on our toes.
We got creative with lots of candles and boiled up water on the gas hob. We love connecting with our neighbours and creating space for meaningful connection and growing community. Keep in touch for more fun through the year!

What a beautiful evening sharing our Easter Egg Family Picnic, with crafts, story, connection, new friends and so much chocolate. Thanks so much to all who made it such a gorgeous time together. Especially grateful for Ayesha sprinkling her usual magic all over. Imagination Haven creative play sessions happen on Friday mornings in term times, and are well worth checking out with your little ones.
