Happy Birthday, Nikola Tesla!
Born 169 years ago today, Tesla was the brilliant mind behind technologies that power our modern world—alternating current (AC), radio, wireless communication, robotics, remote control, and more.

Nikola Tesla didn’t just imagine the future—he built it. Today, his legacy continues to inspire scientists, engineers, and innovators around the world.

Celebrate his legacy with us this Saturday, July 12, at the Nikola Tesla Expo 2025, held at Wardenclyffe—the site of Tesla’s last remaining laboratory in the world, located in Shoreham, NY.

Experience:
*Live science demos
*Robotics, space exploration, and renewable energy exhibits
*STEM activities for all ages
*Long Island’s largest drone light show—a stunning tribute to Tesla’s dream of a wireless future

……….. A couple of days later we have taken another wonderful opportunity and visited the Tesla Wardenclyffe Tower in Shoreham NY on Long Island! We had great hosts from Tesla Science Centre at Wardenclyffe who prevented the site from being sold and converted into a commercial property. They’ve saved it and purchased it in 2013, with plans to build a future museum dedicated to Nikola Tesla. In 2018, the property was listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Thanks for their tremendous hospitality and making us feel so welcome! They deserve all possible support in their efforts to refurbish the laboratory that suffered damage in fire a couple of years ago.

Nikola Tesla Memories!

Last week, a group of Tesla Forum members and supporters had a unique opportunity to visit the Hotel New Yorker in Manhattan, place where Nikola Tesla spent his last few years of his life and passed away on 7 January 1943. The hotel is keeping memory of Tesla and it was nice to visit a permanent display on Tesla open for visitors.

Thanks to Nadia from the New Yorker for making this visit possible…….

Famous scientist and inventor Nikola Tesla (http://bit.ly/29zM5O6), one of the greatest minds in human history, was born in the village of Smiljan in Lika (10 July) in 1856. His inventions have laid the foundation of scientific and technical development in the 20th century. He was born as the son of a priest of the Serbian Orthodox Church. He studied electrical engineering, but never finished his studies. Contrary to all the great minds of his time, he insisted on the use of the alternating current instead of the direct. He invented the rotating magnetic field, induction motor, generator and transformer, electromagnetic resonance phenomenon and patented a number of inventions which represent the foundation of the modern electronics and electrical engineering in general. Without his inventions the modern civilization would have gone completely the other way. He was also a pioneer of radio technology, wireless telegraphy, radar. He patented over 700 inventions. After he quit his studies in , he spent some time in and , then moved to the , where he remained until his death. In 1960, in honor of Tesla, the General Conference on Weights and Measures for the International System of Units dedicated the term "Tesla" to the SI unit measure for magnetic field strength or magnetic flux density.
