๐ŸŽ‰ 55 years of Darlington Family Playgroup ๐ŸŽ‰

What a lovely morning celebrating 55 years of community, connection and volunteering! Our Development Officer Amy joined past and present committee members to recognise the volunteers who have helped shape Darlington Family Playgroup over the years, thanks to support from Volunteering WA.

A highlight was meeting Jane and Trudy, two of the women who helped build the playgroup into what it is today. Their stories, memories and ongoing commitment to their communities were a wonderful reminder of the lasting impact volunteers make.๐Ÿ’›

Thank you to everyone who has contributed to Darlington Family Playgroup over the past 55 years. Here's to many more years of supporting local families! โญ

Playgroup WA is pleased to be part of the WA Play Strategy Advisory Committee, contributing to the development of Australiaโ€™s first state-wide strategy focused on play. Play is fundamental to childrenโ€™s learning, development and wellbeing. It also creates opportunities for connection, belonging and stronger relationships within families and communities.

As a member of the Advisory Committee, Playgroup WA will help bring the voices and experiences of families and communities to the development of the strategy. We look forward to contributing to this important initiative and helping ensure every child in Western Australia has the opportunity to thrive through play.
