Tasmania’s acclaimed contemporary dance company, Mature Artists Dance Experience (MADE), returns to the Moonah Arts Centre (MAC) in 2026, with a powerful new work that will shift your perspective and suspend reality.

PARTICLES invites you into a world where the smallest elements tell the biggest stories.

“Particles are a minute portion of matter—what we are made of, the air we breathe, and the ground beneath our feet,” says Daryl Brandwood.

Set along a shoreline, an ensemble of 16 dancers will take you on an evocative journey where memories surface, stories unfold, and hidden thoughts emerge.

“This piece explores reflections and recollections of past and present—balancing humour and sadness, calm and turbulence.”

With an extraordinary career spanning West Australian Ballet, Australian Dance Theatre, The Australian Ballet, and BalletMet (USA), Daryl brings a rich and dynamic vision to this striking new work. Meet Daryl and experience the ensemble transform his creative vision in Hobart, Tasmania

Heartfelt Thanks, fROCK ON!

To ALL our wonderful volunteers (lovingly known as the Frockers), clothing and jewellery donors, and everyone who came to sip, shop, and share at MADE’s fROCK ON fundraiser: THANK YOU! Your generosity, energy, and fabulous spirit made our event a true celebration of creativity and community, raising much needed funds to help the dance go on!

Special appreciation to our event partners and supporters: Dunrobin Estate, Ratho Farm, Dani & Gawain Simpson, Recycled Budgie, Vicki Klein Framing, Patron Julie Rimes, the Queen Mary Club, Kimberley van Tuil Hair, MONA Staff, SOHO Arts, Dress for Success Tasmania, and everyone who contributed to the spirit and success of the day.
