🎉 Celebrating Children’s Week in Palmerston! 💛

On 27 October 2026, our Family Services teams — Child and Family Intensive Support and Palmerston Culture and Family Centre — joined the City of Palmerston at the Palmerston Recreation Hall for a wonderful community engagement event celebrating Children’s Week.

👨🏾‍👩🏾‍👧🏾‍👦🏾 Children and their carers enjoyed a range of fun and engaging activities, while parents and caregivers had the opportunity to connect with local service providers and learn more about the services and supports available in their community.

Thank you to the City of Palmerston for hosting this fantastic event and to everyone who joined us in celebrating children, families and the importance of strong, connected communities! 💙

Are you a passionate leader committed to culturally safe, trauma-informed care? We’re looking for a dedicated Team Leader to oversee the daily operations of our Maloerroema Pathway Program and support young people to build resilience, develop life skills and create brighter futures.

In this role, you will: ✨ Lead and support Youth Support Workers across day, afternoon, overnight and weekend shifts. ✨ Coordinate daily operations, rostering and effective shift handovers. ✨ Ensure safe, supportive environments and consistent care for young people. ✨ Provide trauma-informed engagement, case management and referrals. ✨ Maintain accurate reporting, documentation and compliance with safety and child protection standards. ✨ Work collaboratively with the Program Manager to strengthen service delivery and outcomes.

🌿 Larrakia Host – Cultural Engagement Officer

An exciting opportunity is available for an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person to join the Larrakia Host program in Darwin C*D.

The role supports Larrakia cultural engagement, community safety, tourism education and outreach, helping visitors and local residents better understand and respect Larrakia culture, history and cultural protocols.

As a Larrakia Host, you’ll help:

🌏 Promote and share Larrakia culture with visitors, tourists and the local community

🤝 Build positive relationships across the Darwin community

🛡️ Support community safety through an educational, non-confrontational approach

📚 Provide cultural and tourism information

🔗 Connect people with appropriate support and referral services

🌿 Help preserve and promote Larrakia cultural values and protocols

This is an Indigenous Identified position and is intended to constitute an Affirmative Measure under section 8(1) of the Racial Discrimination Act 1975.
