Preschool Yoga Club isn't about teaching children how to be the best at yoga or to be able to do the poses perfectly. It's to create an environment where children can move at their own pace without pressure, without needing to compare themselves to other children and to be themselves fully.

When you book your child in, know that I'm seeing them for who they are, not what they can do. I don't care if they are wriggly, or louder than the others, or if they don't want to join in with certain activities. I'm learning who they are and how I can work with them, not how I can make them participate.

Preschool Yoga Club runs weekly at 9.30am in Shortland every Friday, and additional classes on a Wednesday for term 3. It's open to children aged 3-5 years, and for all abilities. Book in and see what it can do for your child.

Community permissiveness in relation to live music and community music occurring with greater regularity.

It doesn’t always have to be the money making endeavour of professional musicians, community music is also deeply important.

Something we wish to do at Rasa Lila is provide a space for the arts that allows creativity and community to flourish. We make it affordable and accessible with all the equipment you may need for your creative projects.

The more spaces we have that open up the possibility for the community to be creative the more the live music scene will grow.

Places like NIMA, Newcastle folk club, ukastle ukestra, local community choirs, small spaces like the hemporium and Clyde st studios that encourage the gathering of creatives and community together are all the place from which our music scene flourishes.

Make sure you support the spaces that support the community you live within so it can thrive.
