Thank you to the 18 volunteers that helped collect 18 bags of rubbish from Damper Creek Conservation Reserve. The most interesting find was an opened "safe" that had been thrown into the creek. We have reported it to the Council. I wonder if VicPol will be interested?
Most of the waste seems to have come from building sites - either tradie fast food lunches or building materials or packaging! It is time the construction industry cleaned up their behaviour.
Also visitors to the reserve - please take your tissues and dog poo bags home with you and do not clean out your car rubbish in the car park.

Come and join us next Sunday (26th) for the October weeding working bee. Meeting at 10am on the upper path above the duck pond (at the dog off lead grassy area). Billy tea will be provided at 11am.
Maybe the Black Cockies will pass by too. They were sighted a couple of weeks ago by Michael (see his photos) and have been flying through again today.
