The Deakin Commerce Society (DCS) was established in 2002 as the Deakin Accounting and Finance Students’ Society (DAFSS) and in its short history has quickly developed a reputation as a professional and innovative society that is well recognized within the Deakin community and the Australian business landscape. The DCS is the premier commerce related student society and is also the largest society on the Deakin Burwood Campus and boasts an annual membership base of over 800 students. The society focuses on both academic and social aspects of a student’s university career and provides opportunities to its members, which could not otherwise be possible. We are committed to ensuring that members receive the best possible opportunities from their membership and we pride ourselves on offering something for everyone at Deakin Burwood.

COME JOIN US FOR OUR ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING 💙

This is a thank you and congratulations to our 2026 Executives where they’ll report on their role/department performance over the past year and give a farewell speech 🤩

This is also an opportunity for our DCS MEMBERS to step up and be a part of the 2027 executive team! All the important information and role descriptions are in the post so swipe to have a read! But if you are interested in becoming an executive member for DCS in 2027, now is your chance! AGM is where you get the chance to make a speech and explain why you should be elected for your preferred role.

To be eligible for nomination and/or to be eligible to attend and be part of the voting, ensure you have signed up and paid for a DCS membership through DUSA (link in description) by *10th September at 5pm*. Executive applications are also due the same day and time.

If you would like to be a part but are unable to attend, please RSVP to attend the online zoom call by *14th September at 5pm*.

You DO NOT need to apply for an executive role to attend the AGM! If you’d like to just attend to vote, you are most welcome to! Please just ensure you are a member (if you paid for a DCS membership early this year then don’t worry! You’re already sorted!).

You don’t need to reserve your spot (UNLESS YOU ARE ATTENDING VIA ZOOM), just ensure you’re a member and get your name ticked off at the door!
