The Deakin Commerce Society (DCS) was established in 2002 as the Deakin Accounting and Finance Students’ Society (DAFSS) and in its short history has quickly developed a reputation as a professional and innovative society that is well recognized within the Deakin community and the Australian business landscape. The DCS is the premier comme

rce related student society and is also the largest society on the Deakin Burwood Campus and boasts an annual membership base of over 800 students. The society focuses on both academic and social aspects of a student’s university career and provides opportunities to its members, which could not otherwise be possible. We are committed to ensuring that members receive the best possible opportunities from their membership and we pride ourselves on offering something for everyone at Deakin Burwood.

Calling all first-year students! 📣

What could the world look like in 2055 - and what role could you play in shaping it?

EY is inviting a select group of first-year students to a unique, small-group experience at the Melbourne Museum on Thursday 4 June (3-5pm).

If selected, you’ll be one of just 25 students from across Melbourne to:

Experience Four Futures, an AI-enhanced immersive exhibition exploring four possible futures for our world
Hear from senior leaders including
- Mathew Nelson (EY Chief Sustainability Officer, Oceania)
- Rachel Lowry (CEO, Bush Heritage Australia
- Norman Laing (EY Managing Partner, Office of First Nations Engagement)

Explore how business, government and communities can better work together to build a more sustainable future

Connect with EY professionals and panellists over food and refreshments ☕️🍇

About Four Futures:
This immersive experience takes you through four distinct scenarios for 2055, bringing sustainability choices to life through sight, sound and storytelling - and challenging you to consider the future you want to help create.

Apply to attend!

To be considered, simply write (in 50 words or less):

What perspective or question would you bring to a discussion about Australia’s sustainability future?
