After a huge comeback this year — with five entrants raising more than $200,000 for local causes — the Zonta Rodeo Queen Quest 2026 is back! 💃🐎

Zonta Club of Mount Isa President Nikki Rowsell said an information session will be held TONIGHT at 5:30pm at the Buchanan Park grandstand. 📍

“It’s a chance for people to come along, find out what the process is, how to sign up, and what the expectations are.”

🤝 She said after a few bumps in the first year, things are now “fine-tuned" and "flowing better,” with clearer guidelines, teamwork with the rodeo committee, and support for entrants.

“We also offer some classes along the way, including deportment and public speaking... so a chance for some personal development in there as well as doing great things for your community.” 🎤👠

✨ Who can enter?
- Must be 21 or over
- Must live in Mount Isa
- Must choose a Mount Isa–based charity to support

Can’t wait to see you there!

🎉 The Mount Isa Street Festival is on tonight kicking off this year's rodeo festivities!

The theme 'Last Blast Party' will include live music, food, market stalls, sideshow alley and the parade. 🌭

🎵 Live music will kick off at the b**r garden in the Isa Hotel from 4pm.

🕕 The street parade commences at 6pm, starting at the Isa Street bridge, travelling east along Isa Street, before turning onto Miles Street, where it will finish in the C*D.

🚧 See parade map and road closure information from Mount Isa City Council in comments. 👇

Mount Isa Mayor Peta MacRae wants attendees to don hard hats and high-vis to help celebrate the 'Last Blast Party' theme. 👷🏽‍♀️👷🏿

"There's definitely a vibe - the festival is fantastic because it's free to the community," she said.
