143ACU and RSL District Cadet Development Funding
The unit is back parading for Term 4 until the end of November and the things are heating up in Mount Isa, the weather that is.
Staying hydrated is very important during our cadet activities this time of the year in Mount Isa, and just in time RSL Mount Isa Sub Branch has come through with Yeti Drink Bottles for the cadets of the unit to provide that hydration.
Thanks to RSL North Queensland District Cadet Development Fund, the unit was able to get Yeti Drink bottles engraved with 143ACU and their cadet's name so they can use throughout our activities.
RSL Mount Isa Sub Branch Treasurer Mr Darrell Saddington was on hand to present the drink bottles, a new Canon camera and HP Laptop purchased through the funding to the 143 ACU Cadet Company Commander CUO Jett Miller.
Mr Saddington concluded the presentation with a short speech to the unit.
The new camera will be used by the unit Public Affairs team as with the unit laptop where we are able to store photos and create content for the page.
Using the laptop, the unit would also like to create a 143ACU picture book showcasing our unit cadets in 2026 as an end of year memento to take away with them.
Cadet funding was also provided for our unit Dining In Night coming up on the 6 November.
A big thank you to RSL North Queensland District and RSL Mount Isa Sub Branch for supporting 143 ACU Mount Isa through the Cadet Development Fund.
We are so very grateful.
