Big Carnabys sculpture Moora will be the town of the BIG CARNABYS sculpture - with your help ! We are fundraising to build a 10.75m high sculpture of two Carnaby's Black Cockatoo.

Will never get tired of looking at them 🤩 they are one of a kind, a work of art, a beacon highlighting local ecology, just special 😍 If any visitors are passing through that wont be around for the sculpture completion in late winter/Springs and desperate to have a look, please message and we might be able to arrange for a private peek in exchange for a donation 😁

Many thanks to Rotary Moora for the recognition during Volunteers week 💪 Most of the time Volunteers 'just get on with it' regardless of recognition or not so to get a nice nod is appreciated 😀 Topsy and Rachel have been there from the beginning moving this project along wading through logistics, and overcoming hindrances and unknowns (there have been a lot of these). And Erich, who has been well and truly affixed to this project through his generous 'popping' to Queensland to pick up the birds to save us cash and stress - what a saint 😇 Cheers 😁

What a lovely message received today from Melannie 🖤🤍 🥰 The Big Carnabys sculpture has touched the hearts of so many people in the last few weeks, we are so grateful to read all the kind messages. It has been a labour of love, belief and tenacity but this is what we hoped for - to wow, inspire, start conversations...... can't wait for everyone to visit Moora soon when the sculpture is finished 🙌

Hello my pretties 😍 it's been a whole week since the Big Carnabys flew into town - what a ride ! They're now having a quiet rest gazing at the Salmon Gums while we build their tree branch perch 🤩 We've had so much love from all over WA - it just keeps pouring in..... Just spoke to a Bunbury lady who wanted to donate because she loved the story that Ben wrote in the West a month ago and congratulated us on a wonderful project 🙌 PS The unveiling date hasn't been set as yet. We will announce it asap - it definitely won't be in July !!

Huge thanks to everyone who came down to take a peek at the Big Cockys 🙌 around 300 people came - locals, school kids, passing tourists. All had the same reaction - WOW THEY'RE HUGE ! Many thanks for all the donations and love ❤️ Again we have to thank Erich for bringing them home - we shall forever be in your debt 🤩 The cockys have gone off for a sleep whilst we sort out their branch in Apex Park. And then the BIG unveiling will happen. Watch this space........also turn into GWN tomorrow. More info on that later......

WOW is an underestimation! We've waited so long to see them in the flesh. They were just a drawing back in February 2020. BIG dreams can come true 🥳 Apologies to the cocky gang who couldn't be here (Erich really screwed his timings up). Thanks to the cheer squad who did come with a seconds notice. Amazing 👏
