Moora Historical Society The Moora Historical Society is a Not for Profit Organisation which consists of the Berkshire Valley The Moora Museum is situated in Clinch Street Moora.

Now named Clinch House, in honour of a local pioneer James Clinch who settled at Berkshire Valley. The former CWA Association Meeting Rooms built in 1936 have a history of their own having been used for Infant Health Services, Cubs and Boy Scouts Activities and in later years by the State Emergency Service. The Moora Historical Society now uses the buuilding and the one next door to display their

collection of Artefacts and Photographs and to store the accumulated records of many facets of local and Western Australian History.

Kaye Lewis and I were very happy to open up the Museum for 2 seperate groups of visitors to our town this Saturday of the long weekend. One lady was visiting from England with her Husband. She was Dr George Myles Granddaughter. Kaye had an informative discussion with them and we learnt some interesting things.
The other group were 4 people with their 2 lovely Staffy dogs. I saw them peering through the fence so I had to open the gate. They were very impressed with the Museum, the Shire caravan park, the Shire cleaning ladies (well done Ladies) and the town in general.
They are definitely coming back when the Carnabys are up.
