Recently we invited Neighbourhood Justice Centre Crimestoppers and Victoria Police to visit our playgroup to talk to local families about different ways of reporting crime and to answer any questions they had. Big thanks to Yarra City Council Ruth for contacting all the families. What does your dream life look like?

In this session, we will create Vision Board together!
A vision board is a powerful tool where you bring your dreams to life through images, words, and ideas. It’s a visual map of the future you want to build. We will explore what we truly want in our careers, our families, and our personal growth. The session covers:

- Reviewing our core values
- Reflecting on our journey and looking ahead
- Group sharing

When: Thursday, 25 June | 11:00am – 12:30pm

BANH Neighbourhood Houses is excited to announce the launch of a new small grants program in North Richmond, funded by the North Richmond Precinct.

Yarra City Council is seeking community feedback on its draft Universal Design and Disability Inclusion Policy.

The Policy sets out how Council will work to make Yarra more inclusive, accessible and welcoming for everyone. It focuses on embedding universal design principles across Council's services, programs, facilities and public spaces.

Council would love to hear from everyone - people with disability, autistic people, families, carers, advocates, allies, or anyone interested in helping create a more inclusive community.

There are several ways to learn about the Policy and share your feedback:
• Your Say Yarra project page
• Easy Read Your Say Yarra page
• Audio version
• Online or in-person engagement sessions

Your feedback will help shape the final Policy and Council's future approach to inclusion.

We have some beautiful organic fresh produce harvested by Cultivating Community. Last year we had Department of Families Fairness and Housing Food Relief Grant and within our partnership some farming was done so that we could have more fresh produce harvested in 2026. How do we make our community a safer and fairer place for older people?

Navigating and staying safe in the public space, and education about elder abuse, top the list when it comes to answering this question.

Yarra Council is hosting a special event, including afternoon tea, to raise awareness about both topics. An expert from Elders Rights Australia, and the Multicultural Liaison Proactive Policing Unit, will speak and answer questions.
